Played in windowed mode

General:
First runthrough, raw impression is this will be very, very good for new pilots. They won't see most of these issues because they're trying to take on a ton of info. Well done!

Wandering around, grid G5 has the small beach islands with various object artifacts from the dock floating in mid air. You can collide with these and it stops you.d Mini-map also shows the outline of the dock.

Captain Adams does not give you any warning about going out of bounds. Could have him say something to the effect that true mechwarriors do not desert their post.

Why are the activities when you return after basic training labeled A, C, D, E and F? No love for B?

Did the Awesome get rescaled? it's the size of the thunderbolt :o :wub:

Also love smashing cars!!

Basic training

Key map does not show caps lock as VOIP toggle

Can a text communication and VOIP item be added to the training?

Needs to mention that not all mech's cockpits are centered on legs. Can be confusing for new players with the arrow offset.

Targeting Practice:

In targeting practice, one shot kills and headshot only kills aren't registering, single ac/10 rounds should trigger it.

Capt. Adams tells me to "Stand here to change the time of day" during targeting practice after respawn. No marker or idea where to stand.

No explanation in target practice about XL engines, and that some mechs may be killed this way

Gauntlet/Running Cored
(Nighttime in the Ebon Jag)

First and second laps were good. Third lap I figured out that lots of UAC5 from the ebon jag disabled all mechs. I poured on the UAC and then nothing was returning fire, even after 2 rounds. So then I killed everything. Nothing respawns, so I can run laps forever. Is there a win condition for the gauntlet?

Mech can still maneuver with WASD when the 'end of lap' menu pops up. Mech will continue moving if you use the number pad to set throttle to 100%.

Random brightness and size flickering of the waypoint arrows, seems to happen with ambient light flickering.

After 12 rounds unopposed I walked OoB.

All items repeated in Running Cored as well

And just for kicks I tried running cored in my Pirates Bane. Same issue with mechs not returning fire.

Rapid Fire

Should have some kind of audible countdown before starting

Targets remaining counter doesn't keep up.

Pilot Challenge I

Returning to improve this puts you back into the Thunderbolt, but the lower left mech loadout screen read Ebon Jaguar from my previous activity.


Don't get me wrong, this is very, very good. A huge step forward to getting new players to play. Main issue I see is fixing the gauntlet mechs, the rest is minor and likely will not be noticed by new players.

Also, in gauntlet and running cored, several dead mechs were in very unnatural ragdoll positions, even had one fully floating in midair.
