I bought an Executioner for MC when they were available only because it was the only assault that had both MASC and jumpjets. Today, I was thinking about buying the other two so I can Elite them out. Then I compared them to both the Gargoyle and Warhawk which I already have. If I want speed, I can go with the Gargoyle and go 89kph (even with MASC the Gladiator with speed tweak goes around 82kph). So, with the Gargoyle I can go 7kph faster all the time. Comparing with the Warhawk, the absolutely miserable 70-77 torso twist of the Executioner is pathetic compared to my Warhawk with at least 120. What is an Executioner pilot gonna do about a light circling it with a Torso Twist of 70-77?

I'm gonna pass on purchasing another Executioner.

I wonder why everyone is so excited to get an assault with a CT that lasts less than a medium.....

Wonder why you just troll every topic on the forums commenting on how "something is like a medium"

If you dont have anything constructive (or even witty) to say why say anything at all?

The EXE is not that bad...Do you own them Centurion72??

The speed boost isn't even what really matters with MASC, its the manueverablity. With it you turn almost 3 times faster than normal, lights try to attack me all the time and my mech lives up to its name. I get the boost going and blast their legs off with a single burst of pulse lasers from the arm. As a side note its also more armored than the Gargoyle.

I went and elited mine because I got the pack a few weeks ago. Today I finally got the D omnipods, I tried out a 11 spl 2 mg loadout and it melted face. Took out a stalker and zeus while leading a charge through the enemy lines, ended up with over 250 more damage than the next highest guy in the match (I had top score). Also made over 300k because of all the component destruction. I have 6 lasers in group 1 and 5 in group 2 with the MGs set to fire any time the lasers fire and when I use group 3. firing 2 or 3 bursts (takes about 1.5 seconds) opens up just about anything, maybe 4 bursts for a 100 tonner's CT. I can just rip open a side torso and just gut the enemy and let the cbills roll in. With it elited I can fire 4 bursts without going over 90% heat on caustic, so it tends to do well.

Also the armor pretty much allows you to face tank most other enemy mechs, you can also spread damage to the arms, though losing them means you lose a large portion of firepower, right side is stronger though so defend with your left if you have to. The MASC allows you to get out of places other assaults couldn't. You can 180 in a second and be at top speed as fast as you press the button to.

Its pretty good in my opinion, I've been using it for close range mostly rather than long range meta poker alpha something something. Before the D pods I was using 6 SPL, and an UAC10. I also just like the chassis in general, was one of my favorites in the older games even.

EDIT:
Oh and if you did want to just poke meta with it I've heard it has some good high torso hardpoints and the MASC acceleration and deceleration really helps it peek and hide, I guess you could load it down with some big lasers and a gauss or something... but wheres the fun in that.

I have 580 games in the EXE and my mech kdr is 2.1 and rising. My w\l is 1.6

These arent godlike stats, but I play this mech like a berserker, and often get called out by my own unit mates for overcommitting (and often dying with 4-6 kills)

While I prefer brutal 6spl uac20 loadouts, the mech works well with almost any point blank laservomit build, or any UAC build.

It isnt the weapons that make this mech. Its MASC and armor. Be a bully, never fight fair. If you wait for the right moment youll never die without atleast 1 kill, because nothing can dps you down fast enough to prevent you from 2 shotting anything more fragile than a twolf or IS assault.

One word of warning. While the EXE is my favorite assault now, it also saw the most drastic change with mastery. Since the EXE lives on mobility, the 2x basic and speed tweak bonuses were necessary to raise the mech from subpar to top tier. I know these bonuses are HUGE on every mech, but on the EXE they were far more noticable than ever before,

My KDR was 0.7 after 50 games... at about which time I hit mastery, From then on it is constanly climbing, though my progress above 2.0 kdr is slow, and w\l seems to have capped around 1.5\6

TLDR: If you are willing to spend GXP or deal with a rough grind, the mastered EXE is the most unique assault in the game, and eclipsed only in raw potential by the meta god DWF.

The Executioner is pretty much a berserker, I too have found myself getting overcommitted and dying... just to find I managed to single handedly down a lance's worth of mechs. At the very worst I at least take one mech down with me. Its close up DPS is just face melting. It worked well before I elited it, kinda like any normal assault mech, but once I got it elited thats when you start noticing you actually can run in and get 4 kills in the heat of battle, you realize most medium mechs can't even outrun you, much less assaults who got scared and pushed into reverse the moment you just vaporized their fresh CT armor. Lights can't even harass you, you could make an old overused joke about the USSR with the situation you put lights in...

any good build for Executioner?

Executioner prime with less heatsinks, restistrute armour (more on Ct, lil bit more on ST) and keep stock weapons. Other choice is to get 2 large pulse lasers (or PPC's ) instead of the large lasers and get rid of MG's.

Executioner D is pretty decent when stock but you can remove SRM's for more lasers or maybe a UAC 10 with less small lasers.

Executioner B I personally running a large pulse laser, large laser, and a uac 20 hoping for UAC jam chance quirk in future

Executioner A well go use D side torsos and have fun

use the MASC and arms and blow that light up.
Seriously the executioner is one of the most capable mechs of out manuvering a light that isn't a light. If you REALLY have issues with lights go put a pair of streak 6's on it.

Seconding the Streak 6s. They really make lighter mechs reconsider harassing you and heavier mechs get loose limbs sanded off.
