I just played it yesterday and had a great match.

2 planets were contested, the one I was fighting on had 99+ players attacking and 99+ defending.

People on were decent at teamwork, and the match went off without a hitch.

However, it does need improvement. I'm still waiting to hear about CW Phase 3.

a challenge? do you not think they need an answer, or a defined problem rather then a vague statement?

CW is a pathetic drunk lying in a ditch with walleyes because of the maps covered in unclimbable cliffs and bottlenecks.
I hope somebody at PGI has the compassion to give it one last bottle of poisoned booze so it can finally be laid to rest.

CW mode is fine but the CW maps? The maps are horrible no matter how you look at it.
I didn't even mind the spawnkillers that happend so often way back then.

I remember when we grouped up and attacked worlds.

It was amazing.

I'm pretty sure the dropships and ghost drops scared people away.

I will probably come back to play once there is a reason to try to take planets.

(I think PGI will find that players will come when there is a real, "material" incentive to play community warfare... I mean hell, look at all of the events.)

With more players, comes more games, and CW starts to breath again. (Right now it is in the ICU being kept alive artificially.)

Hehe.

Funny and scary that a group and team focused game some have to reminisce about being able to group up.

Only going to get much, much worse as the solo agenda is pushed to remove the ability for anyone to group up and form a team in any way in the Group queue.

CW is so dead I waited almost all day for 1 match it sucks PGI/Russ are not that bright first they split the servers which imploded CW into another dimension of Ghost Town. Then they Nerf all the C-bill rewards so hard its not worth the time to play it. As I watch MWO die it is a sad reminder of why MekTek failed with MechWarrio4 Mercenaries to make a new MechWarrior5 PC Game and these are the same group of people running MWO.

Well, there's a bribe for Marik+Liao, but I doubt that'll move much in the way of CW.

That would be kinda cool- taking NBT's model (with a bit more polish) and use MWO as the platform.

As they get more large maps (like River City and Forest Colony) NBT could be reborn in the private lobbies. If I remember correctly, it would be handled far better than the "Community Warfare" of MWO itself. (Hell, PGI might learn something.)
