My latest mech build. You can see more WIP and other models at http://reversedisabled.blogspot.co.uk/













It was great fun to make and paint the end result was very satisfying. Sits perfectly in the 1/60 scale line up from amorcast 17cm to the top of the head (or 18.5cm to the top of the fin), 6 poseable leg joints, 5 points of articulation, 6 barrels to configure you're loadout. No two will ever be alike. I've add to this one with rails and aerials made from stainless steel and brass, I've also incorporated magnetised barrels to allow quick swaps between loadouts.





The paint scheme is; Yen Low Wang Hero mech. I added some wear and tear but not too much as a personal mech of the Allards I'd assume it would be well cared for.




I enjoyed it for a week before shipping it to its new home @ PGI

Absolutely beautiful paint job.
I also read through your blog. I had no idea you could use play doh for assisting with molding! I've been using monster clay (which you have to heat up to use!)

What company do you use for 3d printing, and how much does it usually cost for say, a chest piece (or the whole thing?)

Thanks for all the compliments. The last print cost me £700 and I still wasn't happy with it I spent many hours smoothing the surface if I was to make another there's one last company I would try in search of something perfect.

The modelling clay I used to use was apoxie sculpt or milliput.

I spent 3weeks on the paint job really was a real mind bender masking up since everything needed to be in negative since it was red on white not white on red.

Occasionally I have left over resin (once opened resin spoils) the most environmentally friendly way to get rid of it is to cast it (since resin is nasty toxic in its liquid state but safe as a solid). The extras I sell off.

$1200. Please tell me you're not talking about JUST the print. That is with paint, clay, resin, etc?

If it's costing you $1200 to print, I can't even brain that. I mean I know they're pretty big, but are they hollow? Hollowing your models (depends on your company, some can't do that) can seriously save you alot of money in printing. Did you use a special expensive material?

Wow thats pricey but stunning regardless. I noticed on a older blog post you we're working on a Hunchback figure that was smaller scale. I was interested in knowing if you completed that project and had it cast/printed?
