So, the Catapult 2K, in none dual gauss. Not that I've a problem with dual gauss, I just think this might have a bit more utility to it.

A bit light on the ammo for my tastes, but I think I could like this build.

And for those who prefer a little XL in their 'pults, I think the command console with BAP should get those targeting dolls up right quick, so when you put down the hurt you place it right. Or, if you wanna go faster, just start pulling out one or the other. Or both.

It's just too hard to pass up dual uac5s.

My edit: The 65 toners just feel right with 300 series engines IMO. Great blend of firepower/armor and mobility.

If I was going to run a K2 (mastered it in OB with 4xLL, it now sits stripped) I would play to its strengths. Mobility, low face time/XL friendly, and high mounted energy.

If I am running a twin ultra heavy I would rather have a Phract 3D
It jumps
Has shield arms
Has decent hit boxes (K2s are all CT)

I like the pulse laser build very much, I just can't afford an XL engine right now. I have run my K2 two ways, one with U/AC 5, a std 260, and 4ml, and one with a std 295, Ferro, and 4 LL...I like the LL build very much as I have a Jester outfitted like that, and if I can pull it off I would like to try the pulse laser variant.

I find that since last patch my k2 is weaker than ever. CT was always the weak point of this mech, but now seems to be paper thin besides than huge. I always get insta-cored in one or two shoots, and dead in the third. Last day a light cored me in two shoots with a pair of IS large lasers, and killed me with another two. And so on... bought another cat just to master my k2, but now i´m thinking about leave them waiting for better times. You know, the buff/nerf tide goes back and forth in strange ways...

I try to make it work. Right now I'm running 4xLL, BAP, and a STD295, all the armor it can carry, plus both Ferro and endo. I've had plenty matches where I get arms or whatever blown off and the enemy thinks I'm dead...but I'm not.

The thing I don't like about the k2 is...no jets. I'm addicted to jets, I use them to jump down from high places and get unstuck from obstacles. I feel my maneuverability to be somewhat compromised in it. But I want to master it, the other four are mastered.
