The new Star Wars toys are hitting the shelves in preparation for the next movie, including a lightsaber with side blades.

the issue with the side blades is, they are pointless. because if their point is to act as a hand protection from hits slipping form the balde to the hand, the sidebeams would start at the mainbeam. otherwise such a offslipping would simly cut the handle of the light saber.
