Minor Playmode Addition...

Start the match as normal except for the fact that it is 1v23. There are no allies.
Same maps can all be used as normal.
Another fun one would be lance vs lance. It is a 4v20 set up. Drop places are all still maintained and it is simply a coding change to FOF indicators and goals.
Reuses the same maps but adds to the fun. Make them a special que that you need to opt into.

Capture the Flag would be great for mechs with hands, if PGI could work out the animation side of things, holding the flag in one hand or the other depending on the mech... Looking at you Victor/Awesome etc.
Seeing that big ol' flag fluttering next to the cockpit, obscuring vision slightly would force people to be more situationnally aware too.

There is an easier way to implement a capture the flag variant to the game. Use the current base node system and make it so they have to stand in the base for 1/4th the current time requirement in order to download a data packet. They then need to return the data packet to base. Upon downloading the data packet your FOE and transmission systems get hacked and intermittently give away you position.

Hands OP? Since several mechs cannot even compete...

This would actually be quite awesome. Suddenly, those shield sides are extremely valuable. Entire game dynamics would change from "LolZerg" or "Nascar" to "Cover the Damned Centurion". Well, in group play, perhaps. In Puglandia, you'd still just have the two teams colliding in the focal point like two obese corgis fighting over a piece of steak.

Would need tonnage or class restrictions though? 1/1/1/1 maybe.
I'd be up for it.

Could be fun.. but to be honest... it's not... LORE BASED... its too arcade-like, and not enough SIM like.. That's what private lobbies are for, no?
Why would an actual Wolf Warrior ever do that?

That being said, carefully monitored/regulated Solaris matches would be awesome.

I dont tweet. Never have and dont plan on starting to do so.
As for the question of lore vs non lore....
Just because something is not spelled out as lore it does not make it a violation of lore to do something like this.
But it is agreed that both could be a lot of fun and add a new dynamic to the game. It would also be enough to draw back some old mechwarriors that have quit playing while they await promised fixes/balances and more content.
