Fellow Mechwarriors,

I just tested some LRM configurations on the Mauler 1-R ®. During combat it did appear to me that the LRM volley arcs where comparably flat. Did anyone have a similar impression or is it just the sheer height of this new IS monstrosity? I used this configuration during testing.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

your loadout is way to hot for my taste. i use 2x lpl, 4x mg, 2x lrm15+a (8t) and an xl 320. ...and my arcs are ok so far.

If I remember correctly there are different arcs for LRMs, dependent on ... er ... range? Could that be it?

Ano, thanks for the feedback, I will investigate the range/arc relationship further.

So far, on the 1-R Mauler, with quirks and modules combined the LRM range was 1225m, whereas 'normally' it should be anywhere between 900-1000 m. So lets pick a map, some reference points and hopefully I will get some screen shots up.

and @Tooth Fairy
Is artemis working, if you have Line of sight (LOS) to the target, the arc will be flatter than when you dont have LOS.

That's it. The arc changes for indirect fire vs. direct fire.

Confirmed. LOS & Indirect Fire.

Other lesson learned: Flight time vs loss of sight. Long range shots only good for open surfaces and unobstructed targets.

Thanks guys
