Just where on the legs do you shoot to blow it off?

I personally shoot the thigh, what about you guys?

I go for the thighs and hips. Feet if they're not moving.

From knee to hip usually. Works best on most mechs when you want to leg em.

I usually shoot it in the crotch.

unless I'm in a light, then it's either hip if I'm coming from the side or knee if I'm coming from behind.

I don't typically engage them from the front in a light because 6cSPL basically core out my jenner.

I use SRMs, so i aim in a VAGUE direction of them.

Not effective in the least.

I ask this because I've been getting confused as to why people complain about not being able to leg Cheetahs (leg structure quirks not withstanding).

I've been taking a closer notice to how my allies shoot Cheetahs in the past 3 days, and I see a LOT of people aiming right for the feet or ankles, while the Cheetah is moving max speed or jumping.

Wouldn't it be more conducive to shoot the thigh of the mech seeing as that part of the leg has the least movement to it? If you're shooting the feet specifically, you're either trying to track them as they swing back and forth or just holding a laser burn and waiting for the leg to sweep into it.

That's EXTREMELY inefficient, but I see people do it a LOT, not just with Cheetahs. Is this just muscle reflex, like shooting center of mass when you first encounter an enemy?

Depends. My cockpit angle sucks and the terrible arm pitch of the Atlas isnt good either. But mostly crotch/leg area. Only when i on range i tend to go for the arms/ct.

I shoot at the hips.

My reasoning is there is no gap between the legs for "stray" damage to get lost in.If I rake my lasers across the hips/pelvic area the beam is in contact with mech armor the whole time (hopefully) and less damage is lost to the void.

I do also, then I remember that I should be aiming at their legs, so I do that, but then they switch directions and I can't remember which leg I was shooting and trying to figure out where i'm supposed to be aiming on the paperdoll is completely futile because my brain has regressed to OMG ******* KILL IT and I switch back to the torsos again and manage to remove a friggin arm instead but it switches directions AGAIN and FFS I JUST GOT RID OF THE OTHER ARM WHY DIDN'T I JUST KEEP AIMING AT THE LEGS and then I remove a torso only it's still EATING ME and then a DireWolf blows me to smithereens and I feel strangely VINDICATED because **** YOU ACH, you got your kill stolen! MUAH HA HA HA HAAAAAAAAAA

*clicks streak crow*
