Petition: Reintroduce Old Forest Colony

"The new forest colony is great, but can you comment on reintroducing old forest colony? There was nothing broken about the map's design and it would add more map variety to the game which imo increases replay value as well as allowing pilots to overcome build or balance issues. I.E. tunnel was short range build heaven on old map and allowed pilots to easily flank enemy positions. New map has something similar with the canyon pass, but with the map being much larger takes brawlers out of the fight longer, which obviously disadvantages their team more."
Post in the town hall question thread if you feel the same way I do and let's see if we can get some momentum behind this!

Maybe if they add 8v8.
There wasnt really anything wrong with it persay, but it doesnt really provide any benefit over other maps, or fill a niche other maps dont already fill. Besides. It might not even still exist.

So getting hit with Gauss at the spawn was a not broken? Seeing each other across the whole entire map was ok to you?
A map the size of the crater on Terra for 12v12 was not broken?

The new forest colony looks nice, is sometimes nice to play, but very often not.
The old forest colony has its issues, but I had way more nice games on it.
edit:
Kristian, you should link to your post directly, not just to the thread in general and let people shuffle through pages and pages of posts.
Especially for someone as arrogant as you are, if I may add.
You can link posts directly via the small "#" number in the top right corner of a post.

It was a balanced map, plays differently than all the others, and would add variety.
I actually had much more fun on it than the new Forest Colony.

Old forest colony was a mediocre map at best in 8v8, its way too small for 12v12. Mechs should never spawn in range of the other side, not ever.

I agree on the no vote, for current queues.
However, I'd be very surprised if the old Forest Colony no longer existed or was not recoverable. Large collaborative software projects require some form of source control, or you run into major headaches. There are several free and open source source control options out there, and the work required to set them up is much less than the daily pain in the backside not having one would be.
Because of that, they could recover the data files for the old forest colony or river city. Might need to change some names in files, and some testing afterward, but it should be very doable.
Both of those maps would be nice to have for player ran tournaments using private lobbies.
The question becomes: is there a need to do so that is more important than other things in our backlog/tech debt?
