Is it not time for Solaris to come about . I honestly do not know if they are working on it. Would be cool if they did though. The Mechwarrior 4 Mechs Solaris system would be great . Someone should look into it! anyone else think Solaris should be the next thing kicking?

Free for all or duels - 1v1, 2v2, etc. etc. I'm game.

I'd love 12 or even 24 players free for all as long as the maps are big enough. PGI has directly said that they were working on Solaris arena maps inspired by what is mentioned in the novels and TT game.
So they are working on it, but i just hope those maps are huge so we can actually move without being constantly under fire from all directions.

1 vs 1 duels in 100% identical 'mechs. The one and only way to determine without question which mechwarrior is better than the other!

I just hope we also get the choice to partipate in matches were there are no restrictions on weight classes and such.

We could have weight class tournaments being held twice a year. Summer and winter tournaments.
Weight class champions enter a match or a tournament where they can finally prove who is the true topdog of MWO no matter the weightclass....for half a year.

Imagine the glory to be had. The rewards. Imagine a player with such skill that he kills mechs regardless of their size.
A player with such skill that he crushes all that dare to stand before him with a stock Urbanmech....yeah....not going to happen.
But you get the idea.

I believe they mentioned something about it coming.

I do hope to see Solaris as designed in Mechwarrior 4...with George Ledoux as Duncan Fisher's voice!

If Mechwarrior Living Legends can score his talent, PGI can too!

I'd be happy with a "crap" solaris, do not realy care about the hand to hand weapons you are thinking of.Mech warrior 4 mercs is a great example of what they need to put together . Here's hoping they do!

That is a good start, but it could be SO much more than that.

It could actually be the E-sport part of the game that some people want.

There could be seasons for different match types, 12 mech free-for all, 2-player teams, lance sized teams, company vs. company, and of course mano y mano.

At the end of each season, the top ranked players are invited to the playoffs. There could even be leagues for each regional server, with the winners of each server going to one site for the world championships to play on a LAN so that ping is not an issue.

Instead of factions, players could be part of Solaris sponsored teams a la the gladiators of ancient Rome. (Hello Real-world sponsors)
