Special?

It's just the variant that's been there for months without being released. It will have a 30% Cbill bonus...but that's it.

Remove that extra missile, replace with lasers, and hope it has decent CT quirks.

Why didn't they give us the Nicolai Malthus Summoner as a Clan loyalty mech? I would have totally played that, and it would have had a far more significant impact on the game. THAT would have been special.

Impact on game: Agreed. Finally having a good Summoner in game would be nice.
Having a Jade Falcon hero mech in my bay: Not unless I could completely repaint it, and have a normal variant name.

Canonically, the variant is just the Summoner-M. We've had it in the game files for at least a year now...

At least he has the Victor-A to keep him company.

The Cicada wasn't imprisoned long, at least.

Right, and I would be totally cool with it if the thing was called the SMN-M, or whatever. If it had a Jade Falcon's name attached to it, or a Jade Falcon paint scheme that could not be removed, I would want nothing to do with it.

No offense; I imagine most Ghost Bear players would feel the same about a CHH-themed mech.

Yeah was pretty disapointed.

All we wanted to hear about was that the skill tree was being fixed, what ECM changes are exactly, when the PTS will be up, and details about the Great Rebalance.

Instead we got Paul trolling people and being a jerk in the Twitch Chat, along with all the proles complaining about Grid Irons and TT people.

Oh and because getting stomped in group queue is a problem apparently, heres another really bad idea were going to try on for size. We dont want to split up buckets, but we'll sure make the guys doing really well in one bucket, want to stop being in it.

Mediums for any-tier pack rewards, assaults for max-tier pack rewards. Seems to be their chosen pattern, and it doesn't come with room for a Summoner. But hey, look at the bright side - JUMPCADAS! And also a gorgeous Nova to pilot once the rescale goes through!

Sorry to be lazy, but I really do not want to listen to PGI's BS for an hour just to hear one small bit; what were people complaining about, regarding the Grid Iron?

The RoF quirk. Apparently the underhive is under the impression that mechs with the big single weapon buffs are OP.

They have yet to play a game against a Whale, Timbergod, Doomcrow, Wubshee, Stalkervomit, King Crab that isnt just as terrible as they are.

Pauls response was basically "theyre all gone now, you can relax, balance is restored". Then went on to say "if were successful at ALL the meta will surely change".

I promise you it wont.

They apparently have no idea what it is.

The other guy, Mike I think was very much "For science!" though, and really, REALLY emphasized we show up for this PTS deal.

We apparently are being quietly goaded into a revolution against PaulBalance. His "tone" was very promising. I know thats not alot, but its the only light I saw in that tunnel.

It looks like it has the same quirks it had the last time I played, which was back when the Zeus was brand new. People seriously think that thing is OP? Wow.

I've already heard that the really big cooldown quirks were going, but is Paul saying that even small ones are gone too? What are they going to be replaced with? Is every single mech in the game just going to have random +structure quirks everywhere and be identical across all of them?

He just said the big ones were booted.

Yeah mechpacks are keeping them afloat. Thats really what they got to push at the moment. I fear the rebalance is going to be pretty lack luster given that the focus the entire time was about MECHS MECHS MECHS COLLECT THEM ALL.

No information on these "surprises" the Great Rebalance has in store for us. But theres a good chance that PGI saying any particular area of a surprise, means it can be a surprise in any other area.

"Big surprises coming with the Mech rebalance! Tune in!"

"The big surprise that came with the Mech Rebalance we gave lip service too was that were going to have a surprise classic mech!"

More of the same.
