When i replied this morning i had no idea that the MAD pack was real! (Didn't watch the town hall or read general discussion, and just after replying RL required my attention) I thought you were just theorycrafting, MischiefSC.

It's too early to know, but if the art is to be trusted, the arms look higher than the crab's, perhaps because the legs look quite long. I'm not counting on it to be XL friendly, time will tell how the hitboxes are.

Now... i have a problem, i want to keep my old rusty battlemaster in the drop deck, the Marauder has a slot reserved... and i don't know what to do with the 80 tons left...

I think more people would have to play CW for that to even matter....ive checked the pop the last few days, 5hrs left, less then 20 people on it.....and some times even less then 10...

People don't get on CW until around the 2 hour mark

This honestly makes me reconsider the argument I am having with myself on dropping more money into this game. I just don't play it very often anymore, but a Marauder might make me perk up and give it another shot...which is probably precisely why they're doing this. Suck in the old Battletech fanboys.

i already composed the best decks for training/playing my new is mechs in cw while gathering mechbays avoiding trials (aww, i miss the trial banshee, my bane of timber wolves)

wvr wvr cda cda - 190/240 (my current deck to train/play 2 additional versions of the both loyalty award chassis)

wvr cda cda cda - 175/240 (a couple of additional possible decks to train/play them after oct 6)
wvr wvr wvr cda - 205/240

mad cda cda cda - 195/240 (a few decks to train/play them after dec 1)
mad wvr cda cda - 210/240
mad wvr wvr cda - 225/240
mad mad cda cda - 230/240
mad wvr wvr wvr - 240/240

ghr ghr wvr cda - 235/240 (in case if i pick grasshopper before the marauder release)
ghr ghr cda cda - 220/240

I don't see the Marauder being much more remarkable than an Orion. It wont be any more XL friendly than you would say a K2 is XL friendly. If it can run dual gauss it can cope with the weight of a std engine much better than a K2. I havent even looked into what hardpoints it has or even if PGI has released that info.

A lot also depends on what the hell is going on with the rebalance. A lot of it is automated now and armor is something that they seemed to have found is easy to automate.
