Wow... I'm so happy to see this. Elf, Baboo... has HotLegz showed up yet? I was a Rat back on Solaris and in fact ran our web site for a while, hope you remember JJandE. I get to spell it out here: Judge Jury and Exectioner

It was thoughts of DRs that brought me here. Good, good times. Rockin battles and great team work. Wow, didn't realize how much I missed it... I remember fighting you guys at trial when I first applied to the DRs... scared me to death lol

I haven't even read all the post or looked into how to apply, but you'll see me there for sure.

Damn...that roster is old, and so am I now! Hey, jumped on, was playing some drops for old times sake. It's a great game, much better than Solaris was, lol. Anyways, if your looking for another pilot, I once plaid a lot on my parents CC, by the name of Nietzsche. (Gamestorm, o were have you gone?) You kinda miss spelled it on the roster, but what the heck, if I'm playing for nostalgia, might as well go all in. Can I join your clan?

I was JUST thinking about you YESTERDAY Nietzsche... I was brainstorming old pilot names from Solaris, and I said to myself "Man, whatever happened to Prowler, Mishka and Nietzsche..."

I was Overmind back then, but that name was taken, so I run as Brynstar now.

The DRs are fully active in this game, with a slick roster of great pilots, some of which you will know. Riptide (now called Pharcyide) is still around, along with Elf, Hoho, Trip (used to be Oiler) and some others.

We practice Sunday and Wednesday nights at 8PM EST if you want to stop in and say Hi! We use the House Marik Teamspeak server.

The Desert Rats are recruiting! We are a casual unit with a focus on fun and camaraderie. However, we do run tactical training maneuvers, organized 8v8 with other Marik units, and we have two optional (but strongly recommended) practice nights per week, so I guess the descriptor of Semi-Casual works a bit better in regards to our overall outlook.

We are looking for pilots of all skill level to join our fine unit. We have a strict NO DOUCHE rule, so personality is first with us. We seek team oriented, fairly laid back candidates looking for a not-too-serious experience, but with the ability to focus and work as a team with others. Just keep in mind that we do keep things fairly tight and orderly while in battle (especially 8-mans), so clear comms, following orders, and working toward shared objectives in earnest are the rules of the field.

We run a loose soft-rank system with 3 levels: Command, Force Command, and Mech Jock. We are currently looking for people to fill some open Jock slots, as well as a couple more FComms, with the Fcomm requirement being that you can bring some tactical prowess to the table in some shape or form; this can be formation and maneuvering or actual field command skills.

Our practice nights are Wednesday and Sunday at 8PM EST, but you can usually find a DR or two on the Marik Teamspeak server. We will, from time to time, hop on over to the NGNG TS server to represent Marik and the Desert Rats.

Interested parties contact Brynstar or FunkylilElf on TS, this website (in this very thread), or in game. If we aren't around, just notify anyone with a <DRs> tag in TS to let one of us know you are interested!
