Check if you have some filters active at the top of the "mechbay" / "select mech" screen, e.g. weight, inner spere / clan / .

If u are still a cadet u need to finish 25 cadet missions before u can select and use other non trial mechs.

Untrue.

I entered CW before my first 25 was up. I earned three shadowhawks before I decided to finish my last three solo queue fights.

Um what? U can drop CW as a cadet with trial mechs. Are u saying u dropped CW with non trial before ur cadet missions were up?

Ok, click on the spoiler to see an image of the mechselect screen. Notice up top it has a slider that goes "Both", "owned", and "Trial"? Switch it to owned, and it should show you the mech. Also, make sure you have it's weight class selected, or set that filter to "All"

Sorry guys I'm confused, please clarify. U can't drop CW as a cadet and u can't use purchased mechs until ur 25 cadet missions are complete, correct or no? I don't want to be giving new players wrong advice, please advise. Thx.

There is no gating in MWO right now. You can do whatever you want from day 1.

EDIT: Only restriction is that people who haven't played 25 matches yet, can only post in the New player forums, and only have 5 or 10 posts per day.

You seem to have a lot of questions. Here are some tutorials I made. They should answer all your questions.

Understandable since we always encourage new players to wait to buy a mech until their cadet bonus is up after 25 matches. But there is no rule that you have to. We just think it's a really good idea to try the game out, earn the entire cadet bonus, then pick a mech. And CW is not for the faint of heart. This game has a steep learning curve and even 25 matches isn't enough to become experienced enough for CW.

To the OP did you find your mech yet? If not, there is an arrow that should be pointing down, if it is pointing to the right, click on it.
