What Did They Say About Cw Phase 3?

I missed the Town Hall being at work and when I got home tried to watch the saved stream. For some reason a good chunk of the material on CW Phase 3 was not included or wasn't when I tried to stream it. The only thing I heard was a bad idea about planets giving MC for being tagged which really skews the game to the big units. What else was mentioned on Phase 3? Did anyone see the broadcast live and get these details?

Nothing new was mentioned except that it had been pushed back by work on the tutorial.

Not even sure why they mentioned it as a highlight of the Stream.

The town hall last night was clearly just an opportunity for them to announce the Marauder and Warhammer. Well I'm obviously excited about those two 'mechs, I feel like I was duped by PGI into watching because of actual game play topics that they promised to address. Yes I want a MAD and WHM but I would much rather have a CW mode that has deep story line and an actual end game. PGI says: "Shut up Tyler and buy more mechs!" :angry:

Being fair Mystere, we need a tutorial mode worth more than Vassago's spit more than we need CW adjustments.

We kinda need that tutorial mode more than we need just about anything else they could add to MWO, including hitreg adjustments, PvE, non-awful U.I., or perfect game balance. I'd argue we need the tutorial more than we need maps, modes, or 'Mechs, but the maps/modes/'Mechs folks are different folks so hey.

Backend is essentially done, 4v4 scouting mode is basically finished, etc, but the UI/interface work is only just starting. They're basically switching right now into working hard on the rest of phase 3, not going over details of what is in phase 3 as he did that in previous down halls, but mentions a few things like target system voting, merc experience refinements, the impact of the scouting missions to affect radar, artillery, etc, upgrading defenses/lure mercs

At this point we may as well just accept that CW III is a long way away and enjoy arcade mode. If they keep improving the NPE before a Steam release then bring in a boat load of new players maybe the cash will be there to start making the CW we all want...

Considering I've been waiting for almost [2 years - 90 days], I think I am being fair enough. ;)

Heh, possibly. On the other hand, you have a CW mode. It may not be what you want it to be, but it's there. The game does not, however, currently have any tutorial that could be termed something other than 'The Shark Tank'.

Recall that for most of a year CW was the sole focus of the development team, with absolutely nothing new or interesting being done in the regular queue. Most of us regular-queue folks took that at least passably gracefully - CW needed the work, so hey.

Now the tutorial mode needs the work. Time to give it another ninety days. It's not like you can't actually play CW in the interim, eh?

We already have plenty of Marauder and CW delay threads....

I was just wondering what or if anything was said before the recorded version cuts in. They pretty much say, "and that's how CW phase 3 and the rebalance will work" and the whole part was cut out of the recording.
