Let's talk about Forest Colony performance for a second.
Why? Because I can manage a pretty steady 60+ with my GTX 980 and 5820K on any other map. Last night, I measured a consistent 35-45fps on Forest Colony. GTX 980 has a conservative overclock, 5820K is at 4.5GhZ. GPU temps and CPU temps are VERY within limits (CPU high is a paltry 44C after an hour and GPU hits like... 60C). Running Win10 with the latest Nvidia drivers.
First, let's review my new River City performance. A steady 60+ fps with very few dips but not nearly as high as the steady 85+ that I get on most other maps. To be expected, of course, considering the additional functionality of the map and larger size. Basically, everything performs just as it normally does except one thing...
Now Forest Colony. Started off with a good 65fps but about a minute in when my Mauler had finally reached shore I started seeing 45s. Then I started fighting and seeing 35s. I never bottomed out any further down, 33 was the lowest I saw, but this is REALLY bad considering I've got a top-tier system.
So again I will leave my plea here for the map designers and devs to keep performance considerations in mind when making and tweaking maps or really just introducing anything new at all. You guys are already putting the highest-end systems to the test. How do you plan on keeping players with budget and mid-tier systems while continually telling them to lower their settings? At some point this nonsense has to end.

Forest colony performance is really bad, especially considering your setup.
Granted you might want to turn down some of the more demanding options in the game such as shadows, particles and post-processing.

I run very high with FXAA (I think it's FXAA, I honestly forget which AA setting I have one). Forest Colony is the only map that I've got bad performance on, though. I would be happy to have it perform as well as the new River City, which takes a good 15-20fps compared to other maps.
Let's put it in another light. I get 60+ fps in CW. I have very few dips, and they're never below 50. If CW maps and extended play with respawns can't hit my machine as hard as Forest Colony can, Forest Colony needs some major work.

Why suggest turning down the settings? Surely they can optimize the map and get this sorted. You can't even fix this with hardware I have a 4790k and a 980Ti and the framerate of this "new" maps is pathetic compared to the old.
