This is why we have VOIP and text chat.
If an F-350 cuts you off on the road and you respond by throwing a water balloon at his back window, what do you think will happen?
Do you think he'll notice the water balloon was harmless, realize his mistake, and apologize?
Or is he more likely to slam his brakes, step out of his abhorrently oversized truck, and beat the ever living **** out of you?
Word to the wise: Ambient Map Temperature only affects Engine Idle Temp and Heat Dissipation Speed.
Your actual Heat Generation does not change. If firing 2 PPCs generates 31% heat on Frozen City, it will generate 31% heat in Terra Therma (assuming your actual Mech did not change)
It does affect heat capacity so the percentage does in fact change, it's been tested thoroughly.

Sauce please. I did rather extensive testing of the Heat system in Open Beta and never encountered Capacity changes.
While it's very possible this has changed, I haven't heard anything about it.

Text doesn't work if they do not read that language or read before acting- or even acting after you said it and going along the lines of "that's what you get for hitting me" after you apologies and said it was not intentionally or even major.
You misunderstand. The voice chat is for chiding them for cutting you off, not for making excuses for shooting them with your LRMs. Throwing the water balloon was a stupid idea in the first place.
Even if you do zero damage, even if you miss the Mech entirely, if you shoot close enough you'll trigger the incoming damage warning on their HUD. And if they turn around to see a friendly staring them in the face? Yeah, you're gonna get beat.
What's the smart thing do when some dude in a truck cuts you off on the actual road?
You get the **** over it.

Sometimes though, if the shooter is exceptionally dumb I turn around and make this face
I never shoot back. It's not really worth it, even if their intentionally team killing, you're just doing what they want you to do.

This results in unintentional fire. When it happens I try to wait to make sure that no one is in the way before I regain control of my mech/screen.
I've also discovered that it can be avoided as long as you get back to the game screen before "all systems nominal", hit the ESC key, click your mouse and re-enter the game.
Not an excuse mind you, just letting you know some people may be doing that and unintentionally shooting.

What is that old adage? "Two WRONGS do not make a RIGHT!" You may feel better but the TEAM as a whole has now suffered twice thanks to you.
Except the NEXT hundred teams may suffer less because you made the guy aware that he can't block like an idiot.

About as amazing in the location that whales like to park in certain maps... Seriously if you expect me me to effectively squirrel people to you so you can face punch them you can't stuff up an entire pathway allowing me no escape exit. :-)

They displayed the most profound example of unsportsmanlike conduct on the chat channel that I have ever witnessed in all my years of gaming.
Now I'd like to think I have a fairly thick skin. I didn't stoop to their level nor did I say anything in return. Their conduct was nothing short of incredible. And it was not just one of them, it was ALL of them. If I were the leader of their unit I would be beyond mortified ... but considering they were all acting that way I almost have to assume that conduct was either permitted or even encouraged by their leadership. If I owned a unit and I heard of my members behaving in that fashion I would eject all of them on the spot.
Now if I were younger and relatively new to online gaming and I had experienced this I probably would have quit this game on the spot and suggested to all my friends to avoid this franchise.
Bottom line folks is there is NO excuse to act unsportsmanlike. If you want to get a little rise out of people by doing a "ggclose" after stomping someone (but I don't even condone that) then that's up to you, but please don't go over the top with it. At best you will likely get yourself or your group reported, and at worst you will drive players away from a game that already has a very limited playerbase that can ill afford to lose players over petty reasons.

Generally speaking I am backing up out of that lane because the amount of firepower on display there was intimidating to me in that BIG MECH.
I do enjoy watching the cluelessly power in to that gap and then die when the shots people were firing at me insta gib them.
