I've only been playing just over a month and the Battlemaster was the first of two mechs I mastered. 1C with an XL375, 3 LPL and 2 SRM is my favorite mech and is my cbill grinder, for better or worse.
How is it looking now on the PTR? Is it still quick and maneuverable, since that's the only reason it's any good. I'm a little worried about this re-balancing and what I'm reading on these forums. All the time, effort and c-bills finding mechs I like and not selling on for a huge loss could be for nothing.

First, i think you're talking about the 2C i think. It's still a viable mech, IMO.
Check out http://mwomercs.com/...he-blr-chassis/ to see, where imo the variants of the mech shine.
I love the BLR too, from a Lore and gameplay point of view. I don't think it's opsolete, rather than more in line with other Assaults. I mean look at the Highlander (accel/decel quirks) and the victor. Victor is again a viable side peaker imo, and not a fail after JJ changes.
