I know that mechs are huge beasts - but no matter what colors are used they remain 100% visible regardless of the backdrops around us.
And it's usually a dark/blackish shade that is visible across any distance.
This is the 31st century - so advanced nanite polymer paints and stealth systems should be in effect!
Psuedocode example:
If ((mech_texture_colors_range) == (backdrop_texture_colors_range) && (mech_speed = 0)) { // reduce sight visibility to enemy player by X meters; // reduce sight visibilty to ADVANCE_ZOOM by X meters; // A moving mech will be easier to sight than a standing mech blending in. }
