this could be an event or a permanent feature, if a permanent feature it would give some limited relevance to faction choice outside CW.

if you are aligned to a specific faction you receive LP for killing/damaging players from enemy factions,
if piloting a non faction relevant Mech (e.g. a Spider as Clan Wolf, or an Adder as House Davion) you earn a much reduced number of LP, e.g. 25% what you would in a faction relevant Mech.

If you have a contract with an IS faction, right now all Clans are enemies, and all IS factions are allied, so for now you would get LP for killing Clan allied pilots as an IS pilot but not for killing/hurting other IS faction players

if you are under contract to a Clan Faction killing IS pliot should give rewards, prohaps with the requirement that you get the solo kill, or kill most damage, achievement to simulate the Clan Zelbringen requirement.


As the timeline progresses the "enemy" factions who give LP should change, e.g. after the initital invasion Liao and Marik declare war on Davion, at about the same time as Wolf fights the great refusal against Jade Falcon. after that it is Operation Bulldog with all IS and Nova Cat vs Smoke Jaguar (giving a large incentive to play Smoke Jaguar because 7 or the 9 other factions will give LP), then as we progress through the timeline just add LP incentives to all relevant factions,

alternatively let the Loyalest players (those with a permanent contract) vote on who there enemies are
