I'm off work today so I'm binging on MWO, and I've been skilling up Victors.
I got to a point where I was just hammering my head against a wall. Particularly in the Dragon Slayer, I just can't find the sweet spot with that one-some matches awesome, then a run of sub-50, get LRMed or snipered or focused down seconds after the start matches.
Changed out to a different 'mech, and had better luck.
You ever do that?

I do this all the time! If I am having a particularly crappy streak on one mech I will switch to another completely different class just to get out of the "funk" or if I am piloting exceptionally terrible one night I will switch for a while and go back.
On the victor they were pain in the nuts for me to get finished. Victors in general were a pain in the ass since they didn't and still do not feel like any other mech I have piloted. Which is why after I finished I hardly use them lmao

Victors (*especially* the Slayer) are horrible right now (mine is in the back of the mech bay with a thick layer of dust, and spare parts on top of her). Hopefully they will be useable again after this mega-rebalance.

Happens all the time...
Saturday morning I was playing with Lolcusts, had a 10-loss streak, got pissed, switched to my Timber-C...first match 5 kills, 900+ damage and a win, followed by many wins.
Sunday it was the opposite, Timbies were stinking, Locusts were winning matches...go figure

I just elite'd all my locusts. All of them.
I'm... not playing locusts again for a while. Well. Except maybe the PB. And the 1E. I like that one. And, y'know, the 1V isn't bad for poking. And...

Still not finished mastering mine...
PB, ecm helps and that's all
1E packs a punch...but...well...meh
1V is lots of fun, 'til someone dual gauss you from the other side of the map and you die, even with full front loaded armor...meh
But sometimes these lil' things work as a charm

I really like the Victors. It's a great mech for folks who love heavies but want just >< that much more.
