If I missed this, I apologize.

I was number crunching on the BH2 and with the 15 double heat sinks (up from 13 according to Sarna) it doesn't have the crit slots to support them. Specifically, the problem is on the right arm.

Did it lose the Lower Arm Actuator on that arm or both arms? Am I missing a change somewhere?

Just trying to finish my theory crafting. Thanks!

I think I found it. It looks like they went with MegaMek/MekHQ for the config rather than Sarna. Sarna doesn't appear to be accurate tonnage wise.

It'll be like the 6 PPC Stalker all over again. I can see a lot of gauss snipers there too, being able to peak over hills without showing much.

Well, there's a reason 6 PPC Stalkers died out, and it will be even worse on the Marauder... Still might be a fun troll build just to goof arround with! My BH2 is gonna be 6 Large Lasers to start with, and see how it does.

Obviously everyone likes different things on their builds. I have gone through and planned out builds for the 3R, 5D, and 5M already. I should be done with the BH2 builds shortly. Where possible, I have tried testing them with proxy chassis, but quirks and pilot skill trees probably skewed the results slightly.

Anyway, what I have so far:

The one I had the biggest problem with was the 5D. Laser boats will overheat, nothing you can do about it.

Those are for the MAD-3R, 5D, and 5M respectively.

Alright, here is what I came up with for the BH-2:

Now, a few things that didn't make it into the review.

6 Large Lasers - Doable, but hot. Space only allows for 17 double heat sinks with a 225 XL. Two tons are left over, but no space. Possibly remove jump jets to upgrade engine to add more heat sinks.

6 PPC - You CAN do it, but to get it to fit I had to drop the Engine to a 150 XL. That gives room for 12 Double Heatsinks, and one Jump Jet. You can shave off armor if you want more tonnage, but you have to upgrade the engine to fit any additional heatsinks.

Can't Wait! Got mine coming and I haven't bought a mech pack since my Yen lo :) wondering if this thing will be viable in CW?

Oh, I'm sure there will be... It will probably be up later today... I am super stoked for it n.n Though, it is gonna get dropped by me for a while 2 weeks later when my Jenner IIC comes out... That thing is gonna be sooooooo much fun!

Oh, I'm sure it will be an excellent CW mech. I'm planning on replacing my Misery and my 4N with a pair of Marauders on my IS drop deck n.n Heck, you could bring 3 Marauders and a Commando/Locust if you were so inclined...

There are 2 things I'm holding my breath on though... How necessary will a standard engine be... And how is that cannon gonna come out.... If it's made tiny and stubby like every other mechs, I will be heartbroken...

Currently you could bring 3 Marauders plus 1 Firestarter :D

Nope, double check your math....

75+75+75= 225, leaving you 25 free tons. So, 25T Commando, or 20T Locust. Firestarter is 35T.

Unless they upped IS drop decks to 260 while I wasn't looking?

When the Rifleman drops, I'd swap out one Marauder for a Rifleman, then I could use a Centurian for the 4th n.n

Oh, right, it was boosted from 240 to 250 while i thougt it was from 250 to 260. Mea culpa, sorry for the confusion i may have caused.

While the Marauder isn't as anticipated as the coming of mighty Lord Urbie, I am very much looking forward to getting my favorite heavy mech from TT. But if tradition holds we should be seeing the countdown previews go up this Thursday as they usually only do a five day countdown.

They have extra stuff they can show off with these packs... I think the Urbie had like, 12 days.... But, they have cockpit items, and warhorns, and such they can slowly feed us... I'm gonna start eating my keyboard if we don't get some pictures of the mech itself tomorrow XD I have to know if they did right by the cannon!
