Training Grounds Borked?

I played a couple hours' worth of live matches last night, and gameplay seemed normal (re: hit reg and whatnot), but this morning I was testing some builds in the Training Grounds and noticed some issues:

1) PPC's don't seem to register quite often (half the time? Noticed it mostly when I combined them with AC5's)

2) TAG seemed to do nothing. There was no indication that it was even touching the target. Shouldn't there be an icon above the target that indicates it's being TAG'd?

3) LRM's most often splash 10-20 meters in front of the target and only a small fraction ever seem to hit the target even when they do manage to reach.


So, my question is: Has anyone else noticed issues (the ones I listed, or others) in the Training Grounds? And, is anyone seeing these issues in live matches as well?

Well they just released the major balance overhaul. Missile spread is now decreased.
Are you firing within the proper distance ranges for the weapons? Standard PPCs do no damage <90 meters. LRMS do no damage <180 m or >1000 m. SRM and SSRMS do no damage >270 m (these are only the IS values. Clans are different. Also, quirks may modify these ranges).

All other weapons deal damage past the stated range, but at a reduced rate, usually a linear falloff up to twice the stated range.

Yup. Did tests from 600 meters all the way up to 180, and the weapons all behaved the same way regardless of range.
