The game has evolved so that staring is bad, even though it's required to guide missiles in, and there will be no locks you don't provide yourself, Radar Derp being All-Powerful.

As such: If you want some variety in the game, Lock-Ons' will have to be Fire-and-Forget …

No: I don't think you can just drop this into the game, but knock-ons to the two affect modules aren't that hard to sort out.

I think it would be better if you could fire missiles then lock on to something after the fact and all missiles in the air will orientate to the new target rather than just continue blindly into the ground. That would allow you to either time shots for minimum face time or to change targets when firing at long ranges.
