based upon eNgine rating...If each engine generated a constant amount of energy, it could be allocated to speed, torso twist, and weapons... Thus creating a limit to the amouNt of boating.

further, you could over load some systems, generating more heat to gain cooldown Or range or speed, etc...

Additionally, your reserve of energy could operate similar to jump jets. Thus simplifying the coding.

This makes much more sense than ghost heat.

If everything demanded energy that would be a great way to prevent boating and increase TTK.
Torso and arm yaw should demand extremely little or no energy though. But everything else....
- The faster you go the more energy you use.
- MASC, JJ's, ECM, BAP demands various amounts of energy.
- Energy has a higher energy demand. Gauss has somewhat high energy demand but the usual low heat....alternative to charging for those that don't like that?
- Other ballistics needs very little or even no energy to fire while missiles becomes the middleground?

Different engine manufacturers has specialities such as.
- Higher maximum energy storage.
- Slightly better energy production.
- Slightly less energy demand for energy weapons but demands more for movement.
- All kinds of other variations. Your imagination is the limit.
