Are we going to be playing on the exact same maps, doing the exact same things, or is it going to be something different? Doing the same things with a team full of one faction, and another with another faction isn't what I paid for, or two sides of premades facing off isn't at all different than what we're already doing.

If that's the case, then it's perfectly possible to ignore CW altogether, upload an image of the world map somewhere, and editing it in accordance with premade match outcomes. It's also possible for us to produce a script to automatically update the world map.

What does CW offer us that we don't already have, and text based MMOs from god knows when don't do better?

''It has dropships, and a coffer for buying things from the store! Ranks that we can RP with!'' Are stale responses.

that plus if you are in merc or house affiliation, you can only run IS mechs.

Clan affliation must own clan mechs and can;t use their IS mechs

(only CW part, pug games are unrestricted)

Well....

Of course it will be on the same maps. Goes without saying considering the time it takes to make them, there will not be a 10 map pack comming out just for CW.

I fear you are pretty much correct in "Blue team" vs "Red team" in the same modes, because there is not enough time to release CW and do new game modes to be released at the same time.

What it, apparently, will offer us is a rep grind to unlock special skins, cockpit items and all that jazz. They have also talked about using unit coffert money to boost defenses on worlds and being used to "bid" on the rights of specific worlds. By that I am guessing that world "ownership" will mean some sort of bonuses for buying gear and mechs (discounts) and maybe offer availibility to new mech if you capture planets with mech factories on them*

*This assumes that the CW will limit your choises of mechs to what your faction has historicaly been using, effectivly giving you a seperate mech lab for your "CW mechs".

1). How long until we get 10 CW maps?
2). Mech factories...when?
3). What is the next new game mode?

.when?

I'm reminded of asking that for 2 whole years about the CW mode itself and being told it's just around the corner. Then after 2 years we saw a pre development power point presentation and everyone realised they hadn't even started on it. :<

oh and when it finally got here it was so half baked and a massively stripped down version of the power point it was sad.
