This would make Duncan Fischer a pretty dang old character, considering that he still has to be alive to be a Solaris announcer during the FedCom Civil War (MW4)...

MW 2 is the best Mechwarrior game so far but Solaris in MW 4 was great almost making MW 4 a contender. Didnt play the others, played 2 and 4 long after they were obsolete.

Maybe Duncan Fisher is actually like the Bounty Hunter in that he is not just one man, but rather is an idea that is passed down from generation to generation. . .

Would put him in his 50s, at least.....in a universe where the average lifespan is over 100, and military sorts often serve into their 70s...... being mid 50s wouldn't shock. The question is just WHAT role is he going for..... Mechwarrior, Solaris Jock, or are they having him as an announcer? The last would feel a little odd.

For all we know he could be the merc's faction liaison or a pilot or a tac officer. It doesn't really matter because George will make it epic and memorable.

As much as you can believe Internet sources, he is going to be player's Tactical Officer.

I should mention in BT people often live 100+ and 70 are still battle hardened mechwarriors still fighting in the battlefield.

Duncan is already in retirement and stopped his carreer of begin a mechwarrior. This puts him between 50 to 60 years-ish and was in his mid adulthood when the clan invasion happened.

<< Whoao! That kid was on fire here! Of course now he's literraly on fire. >>

<< Look at them go! Man I love this game. It has my favorite things! 'Mechs, big guns, and a whole lot of explosions. You know my wife sometimes looks at me strangely. "Duncan," she says, "there's more to life than Solaris." Frankly, it's like she speaks another language. I mean, the words make sense individually, but put them together and it's complete nonsense. >>

<< Couple of years ago, the post season matches got extended two months. I think it was to keep Solaris addicts like me happy, heh, or to make Solaris widows more miserable. >>

This news does nothing at all to dampen my enthusiasm for this game. In fact, the hype train just picked up speed. :D
