Ironically I got Deathstar because I watched twitter.

Remember when they broke the backend so that you could get a game but it would kick you unless you did a specific workaround? Yeah I got it from Russ on Twitter and basically got into a game where I was the only active mech.

The. Only. One.

It was glorious, and I still chuckle on that one.

I thought that the best challenge was Oceanic part II. Rewards that were fun and useful (got a war horn or two out of it and lots of consumables), a few Cbills, and reasonable match score requirements. 150 is doable for new players. 300? LOL. That's a real good match for us Underhivers, and it isn't possible during a tournament. They bring out the worst in players and I've had friendlies intentionally core me or leg me from behind so I'd die quicker, and step in front of me *while lasers are burning,* in their zeal to get that kill before I do. I've come within ten points of 300 a couple times but that's it.

All 24 participants in this match should be banned. They knowingly bent the rules of an event and inflated a match score. Real world prizes are at stake, with real world monetary value. Doesn't matter what place they come in on the leader boards, they potentially took a prize package from a legitimate player who is following the rules and spirit of the event to win a prize. You don't do this without collusion; every player is at fault.

There is no Justification. "But officer, my speedometer says my car will go 120. Why am I getting a ticket. Just showing how the system is broken." A simple letter to the mods/Russ would have accomplished the same thing.[/color]

Bottom Line = 24 Banned for cheating an event.

Because they're not only cheating PGI, they're cheating the players that are trying to do this legit.

You can see who one of them is right there on the Tournament page for CW.

He, his entire unit that was present, as well as the opposing team should all be perm banned if you ask me for participating in cheating.

It's the same team, just IS and Clan Accts. (dunno if it was the same players or not, wouldn't be that hard to do, either way)

I wonder if a big unit could rig the Solo Queue too. Just think, they have 50 people all attempt to drop at the same time. X number in lights, X in mediums, X in heavies, X in assaults. Oh look we happen to get almost 24 players in one match. Those 2 poor dolts won't know what happened. Lets kill the none unit guys then pick one UNIT guy on one side to pick a part the rest of the team. Over inflated damage and kills = top score. Do this like 5 times and the could probably own the Solo Queue too.

Easier in the team queue if you have two or three teams available.

Sol Crusher you might be right I don't post much but Solo mm WAS ALL ABOUT solo/pug PLAY NO GROUPS but PGI/DEVS always go back on there word if there close buddies cry enough to them in games they all play together.

When you put a group 2 man 4 man on up in a solo MM battle it is always unbalanced versus a 12V12 SOLO GROUP I would have thought PGI /DEVS were smarter game designers but there not. The hacking-cheating-exploiting goes on in solo MM battles and CW battles every day and it is most revealed in the tournaments that are offered by PGI as these are the easiest way for these individuals and groups to troll the good honest players that are left in MWO still playing.

Not surprised by this, Exploiting and cheating is a huge thing in this game, and PGI won't do anything, they can't afford to, they just don't have the population for mass bannings.
Yes solo queue has its fair share of sync scrubs at normal times, start an event and you see it almost every other game, oh and cheating is clearly alive and well, last night proved that to me.

But in seriousness, yeah, you can. It's not flawless, not near as efficient but my old and defunct unit, which was not even large, did it on several occasions, and had about a 25% success rate at sync drops (over 50% if you include same drop, different sides, which we've seen certain notables do, then one of them mysteriously plays like they have a steering wheel)

First of all this has been going on daily for months.

Second of all, its not 24 someones because half those mechs could be disconnected. I have seen multiple disconnected mechs drop before on one side to be farmed, multiple like wholes lances.

Third if a legit player gets into one of these matches and makes a scene that legit player will be banned by Mechwarrior Online!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Because the cheats have the nerve to report a player making a scene about so many disconnected mechs being farmed.

The cheats are completely off the leash to the point of actively trying to get legit players banned.

Also things like enemy lining up to be farmed by certain Inner Sphere players and the Clans shooting past him at anyone attempting to fight a legit match.

Also to be completely clear both these matches I mention are extremely rare for a legit player to find themselves in.

Like I say the irony of maybe the only legit player in the match getting banned on a team with only 8 none disco mechs is ironic. The other 7 happily lined up to get farmed. I guess they were mad someone got in the way of their cheating to farm faction loyalty and they reported him....

Yeah this dose really grind my gears. I'm out there working my ass off and these guys decide to exploit it. I hope PGI sees it but who I'm I kidding their not going to do anything. But they should be banned because it's not fair to others.
