Alright so this as certainly been the strangest release cycle I've ever seen.

I initially read this thread:

I assumed that the thread was made to explain the nature of how early access is going to work.

I got my Legendary and went on my merry way (the f5 key may have been involved.) later on I read this:

So I'm to understand that it got delayed (And the other thread really needs to be removed.) that's understandable albeit annoying. But if I'm understanding this correctly early access remains the same (august 7th) but that's the date founders are now getting in to closed beta. So it's early access while the game is in beta?

That seems to be a bad idea or maybe I'm getting this whole thing mixed.

Game is in closed beta phase 1 right now, phase 2 closed beta starts August 7th

Purchase of a founders pack guarantees access to closed beta phase 2

Although they have been releasing beta keys randomly, on accaision! So you actually have a small chance of being randomly selected to participate prior to August 7th

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's early access to the beta. Then a few weeks after August 7 they'll probably make it open beta for everyone. I don't know what they are doing about mechs unlocked or if anything transfers... could someone enlighten us on that one?

August 7th is suppose to be founder early access, hopefully it will stick.

Founder's access was pushed back to August 7, yes.

Early access into close beta (that is before Aug 7) initially did not require founders but only a small pool of registered users were allowed in by lottery. This is known as the first phase of closed beta invites.

It is currently the second phase of closed beta invites where founders are prioritised into the lottery for early access.

Then, come August 7, all founders will be allowed into the beta.

Open beta comes next but the date for that is still TBD.
