I am also piloting a light mech, so once again the light mechs get the short end of the stick, unless you are a DPS machine or slightly graze every mech to get 8+ assists you are punished.
Stupid event is stupid.

Edit: As Titannium suggested, Streaks will be pretty good for getting high damage easily.

No mech is in a better position to graze the entire enemy team than a light mech,

I would rather just not get the rewards than play CW in its current state.

Make events easier to get for casuals, by casual i mean 3-4 hours a day, but rewards smaller so more people can achieve something and not just be frustrated.

Wait, ur a light which automatically gives you 600+ damage...you don't take damage and therefore one of the last mechs standing which gives you a lot more time to achieve a higher match score.

If they were completely honest less folks would try at the level I am seeing. The more people that use the OP builds and aggressive play the higher the bar becomes until the end of the event. (note you can be aggressive at range too - pressure vs peeking)
I have been involved in amateur cycling for decades now and for hundreds of hours of training and expensive entry fees/travel an individual in a non elite/pro tier may get a ribbon if the rng gods of flat tires/etc does not hit. The majority of competitors are there to perform at their best regardless of rewards. It is also an obvious sink hole for money and time that everybody happily accepts. Something to think about.

Also, I am not a let's sit back and snipe with a light, I scout, pop UAV's and try to target mechs for my team, which usually means you do FA damage and not many assists.

I like MWO, and I mean, REALLY like it, but sometimes the events they run just baffle me. So not to be too hard on the good folks at PGI.
