Hi folks, thought I would start a thread so that all the know-it-alls who have spent the last two years trotting out the same old arguments and "knowledge" shouting down anyone foolish enough to say it would be great to have a marauder.

So, for all those of you with the reflex instinct to yell "unseen!!!!" at the top of your lungs and pound your chest while belittling anyone who disagreed or who had different information this is your chance!

Here on this thread, started and made for your convenience you can own up to being wrong!

Just add your name to this thread, maybe say sorry or that you admit you were wrong and bingo! Your conscience is clear and you can back to playing, you can even elaborate on your past comments if you would like (not required!).

And don't you worry about being embarrassed, you have plenty of company, In just 45 mins of searching I found over 120 different posters in the past year who enjoyed the chance to stomp on anyone foolish enough to ask for Marauders.

If Catalyst labs hadn't pushed through with their reseen versions this would have never happened.
If mech pack sales weren't so successful, PGI wouldn't have the funds to defend against a possible suit.

So yeah, the 10,000 threads about Marauders, Warhammers, etc were all shouting into the wind and never added any new information. Everyone knew that well done unseens would be printing money for PGI. Now there is enough precedent and funds for PGI to do it. This literally was the catalyst for it all.

Are you really so sad that you are trying to suggest you were right all along? what ever happened to people owning a mistake or being wrong (vocally I might add) about a subject.

I'm actually taken aback by how defensive some of you are being, what is so hard about admitting you may have been mistaken or that you picked the wrong side of a argument.

Geez, lighten up and stop doubling down mate, the unseen are here.

How about the guilty parties (you know who you are!) just own up to lecturing and shouting down of anyone willing to point out it was a achievable goal? no need to flagellate man, just own up and move on.

Oh and in light of how off the mark they were and how wonderful the outcome has turned out to be (Marauders!! yeah baby!) maybe they might reconsider their sources before they shout down folks the next time eh?

I dared to believe all along that the original mechs would make it into Mechwarrior Online.

+1 for Aerotech capital ships! Once players see Battletech capital and corvette class ships, everyone will giggle at the tiny sissy ships players at Star Citizen got.

This gives some idea. Although this game doesnt match mechwarrior.

Always hoped the unseen would make it, never really thought anyone would risk the curse of HG over it though.

To be fair TT, It has been almost if not over 2 decades since the Marauder was a legal Mech for players to have. The Re-Seen were a nice stop gap but they were not the beautiful originals. And many of us have a sore spot from HG being jerks over it.

Did I hope for it? Of course. Like every other old TT nerd I've wanted the Unseen for decades.

Did I believe we would? Not really. PGI alone would not have had the legal muscle. It would require something else for that to happen and I didn't really hold much hope for that unless HG was to collapse into a burning pile of rubble.

Did I believe it after CGL said "we're jumping into the unseen pool at the deep end"? Yes. Yes, at that point I, like many others who previously had said it wouldn't happen, believed it was just a matter of time because finally that "something else" which was required had happened.

Seriously though, if you look through many of those "it won't happen" responses you'll find that many of those _wanted_ it to happen, but due to the history of the issue they had what could only be described as reasonable doubt.

Now gimme my Phoenix Hawk, dammit!

The mere mention of the Unseen name = blasphemy
Harmony Gold is the devil and has already sued the world
Only the name Marauder = HG can fire raining from the sky

HG has only Rights for the Original macross mechs ..not for BT Names or Mechs with this Names, only far similar looking like the Macross Mechs





that has always been the only fact, contrary to all legend and mystery (seeing the Reseen Longbow in MW4 MS IS Mechpack)
