Since when has personal responsibility taken a hike? As I said in another thread now taken to the birds:

"But officer, the guvmint let me get a gun. Therefore it was not my fault I shot that guy dead!".

Bad analogy.

The event still shows how bad the scoring system is though.

The scoring system has ALWAYS been bad.

Someone who hits arms and legs and sprays all over the place gets rewarded more than someone who headshots and backshots and kills mechs lethally and efficiently. How is that a good system?

The scoring for damage needs to be weighed based on the location hit. Hitting someone in the head or back should be worth much more than hitting someone in the arms for example.

Also they need to get rid of the concept of assists and just award fractional kills. If you did 90% of the damage to a mech you should get 0.9 kills. Instead of the kill being awarded to whoever did the last 10% of the damage. That would encourage more teamwork rather than killstealing and stat padding.

Yeah, if it tool less than three hours to get a map I need. I might.

But it takes forever so fair is the least of it its more like don't play drop and get back to the search.

Its actually to the point I'm only playing 1 out of 6-7 games.

You do realize that when you dc because you don't get the map you need you are royaly screwing over your team right?
Or do you just not care?
Seriously, players like you should be banned from the event.

So you see no problem in shafting your team then? You can't justify it by saying it's the mechanic.
How about acting honourably and fight to the end?
I reported you anyway.See if they actually do something about this.

Just watch any NGNG video and see where most of the issues come from. More rules broke there, more exploits than anyone would care to see and yet people worship those clowns.

I know others have pointed this out before.

If you want a real game don't let Paris Hilton lead.

Seems allot of the people complaining about people "hiding in the back" are usually the ones that charge head-on into an enemy firing line.

1) people stupidy
2) intentional jerks doing this, to break others to achieve 300+ points.

You mean like the guy in his Mauler crossing the crater alone right into the enemy team on Caustic?

Some people are jerks and intentionally ruin things for other players aren't they?

Threads like this one exist for every event there ever was. I'd not say this event brings out the worst in the community, but this event is the worst thing PGI ever brought to the community.

Yeah, it's that terrible.

I didn't yet play for the event ( out of town in vacations ) but from the forum posts, looks like i was lucky. I'll give it a shot during monday to see how bad things are.

These events always bring the worst behaviours from players. But it's not entirely their fault. The event rules encourage a selfish play style, worsened by the randomness of map rotation.

To improve the team play, imho the easy way is using just the win condition. "Win a match on each map". And at least increase the chances of players to drop in the maps they haven't scored yet.

The fact that the maps you drop on are random screwed this specific Event from the start. Did they not realize this?
