For some reason I really thought the big barrels had lenses.
Also the old art had 2 extra arm barrels instead of 1 on the arm and 1 in the side torso.

I'm an old old old TR 3025 guy sooo....I think I have the 1st edition german print as that was the first one I could my hands on in Europe.
The boxed set I managed to order from the USA.

The art and the stats in the TRO never lined up. If you look at your old old school 1e TRO... the mech lists one AC2 and one Medium laser in each arm, and one Medium Laser in each ST. As do the 1e Record sheets both of which take precedent over the art.

Sorry no can do. I have a deal with the guy who actually produces the minis, these are essentially commissions for him, and since selling minis is his livelihood, the stl files are not for sale, just the minis.

No thats fine, would you have a link to his site?

Indeed I do.

Note on the Axe Bros... you can contact Alex direct and should be able to get em individually... IDK why the guy producing them is selling em as sets....*SMH*

Actually was going to make a separate post just on these.

latest art commission.

A pal on the Battletech International Facebook page and I recently spoke about how oddly cool the old 1e Cataphract looked in the 1e House Liao book. About the same time we both pondered how it would look updated, and then a week later I was commissioned to do said update.

So for the sake of "Head canon" I've designated this the original "0" and early "1" series Cataphract, when it was still a full blown Frankenmech, with the flat, taller version from MWo being the final, refined factory model from the mid 3020s forward. Because of the paucity of heavy units, these early hodgepodges soldiered on, though by the Clan Invasion these had been relegated purely ot backwater garrisons, and merc units.

I expect that my patron will have miniatures made from it within the next month.

Even though I seldom come around here anymore (because the Forums are a bit depressing, IMO, and the Fan Creation stuff has sadly been dead ever since the 2013 revisions), I reckon as a commission artist I do need to advertise, even if.. well, TBH, almost nothing ever came from advertising here.

That said, hey got my first official CGL Battletech assignment made official, and released to share, post GenCon. pg 61 of the new "Shattered Fortress" sourcebook, the lead art into Section 4: "The Dam Breaks" depicting the "Battle of Dieron".

Nice work, especially the mounting of the AC (with the exception of that grilled chicken logo on the torso Posted Image )

when Blaine Lee Pardoe makes you into a canon Battletech character, you take it, and like it, regardless of details. I could have ended up a street name or a Capellan Janitor, after all.

Blaine Lee Pardoe has a few things against Snails.

How many of his books has the phrase "I'm going to pound you into Snail snot!"

Lets see, Maj. McCoventy, Archer and I am not sure of any others.

I hate that they killed Archer Christifori off off-panel, like a side-note. His books were some of the best of the late run.

and yeah I realize that they pretty much did this to all the established units, especially merc units. killed as a sidenote paragraph somewhere in era report 3145...

not sure what is up with any broken links, as I think this is all post Photobucket. There is a link in above to my DA page, it should still be on there

I dunno. Seems to be doing well without me. Folks got the game they clamored for, so I don't feel a lot of need to be around, TBH.
