Yo,

You may remember me from the "Can My pc run mechwarrior" post,

I got my friend to build me a pc in the end, and life was sweet! could play mechwarrior till my eyes bled and did! Then took a few days off around patch time and now since downloading the patch, it just about runs but is not playable :( if i meet 2+ mechs il lag out and die) some maps seem to be better than others but i just cant keep losing games for the pugs on my team...

Have the specs changed or has the 6gb program i downloaded in that few days off ruined it for me? seems weird to a pc noob like me if thats the case because i was playing on high settings and now still cant play dropping to lowest.

I know the majority of you here have tons more pc knowledge than me so perhaps you can recommend something i havent done.

So far I have:

Turned to lowest settings
Cleaned my registry
defragged HD
Deleted anything sizable i can
Deleted anything that uses CPU i can

Help Me Please, my MWO withdrawals have got me pulling my hair out!

What are your computer specs?

When you install the gamefiles make sure after each patch to run the repairtool. (Open up the patcher go to your top right and then select the 'wheel' and select repairtool). After each patch they manage to screw something up here.

Also if you have more then 4 GB of RAM select the 64-bit option on the same way as i described above.

And with lagging you mean your FPS?

Run the repair tool and see where that gets you.

Yeah guess i mean FPS

Running the patch repair now, how long should it take?

I got an AMD triple core 2.1ghz with 4GB RAM

NVM

"Fixing!!!

Fixing mismatched files.
-Fixed!
Cleaning unneeded files.
-Cleaned!
Cleaning FE textures.
-Cleaned!
Cleaning shaders.
-Cleaned!

Lets give it a try :D

It should only take a few minutes unless there's a lot of repairs needed.

Is it better now?

Allright. Then you should stay on 32-bit client.

What videocard do you have?

Also your main system folders (C disk) should not be full! Atleast keep 10 gb free of disk space.

1st match since on river city, got the average 2 kills 7 assists and 354 damage in my FS9 so i guess im usefull again :)

Stil;l had a bit of lag at the main trade off and dropships, but i think i had that before and im sure changing back to low will set that straight.

Will try 32bit first

Thanks for showing me the way!

And if you want a dedicated light pilot that plays from 6pm to 2am (UTC) Im all yours xx
