Played all day cw for 2 maps (sulphur and hellebore): I DROPPED IN GRIM PORTICO ALL DAY LONG. (kinda 8 drops: only grim portico)

ONE ONE MAP AVAILABLE.

Yesterday, a bit better: Boreal 50% and portico 50%

Great tournament.

It became a mission in the end for me to get one map....
I did get it but it was a ghost drop...

Did at least 20 CW drops over the weekend and got: Boreal, Hellborn and Portico only. Awesome.

When dropping in CW, it helps to swap planets every match.

I got to see the map I needed 3 times. I got derp teams in all 3 of those games and was high score in 2 of them. 250/275 just isn't enough to carry a team.

We are in the same.

Change the map name, grim<>sulphurus, but this is the reality: map rotation sucks hard.

BUT pgi decided you must drop in all, despite all the grind, it wasn't possible.
I've dropped in potato only today, quite only in boreal yesterday, quite all matches more than 300 match score.
BUT...NOPE, this means nothing to PGI.

Never saw Hellbore. It was honestly easier breaking into the top 80 on the public que tournament than it was finishing the CW side. :(

Pugging was a magic carp shoot of map and team mates..... Both had to be right to get the magic 300 pts... Units would easily accomplish this event.

i'm 3 points off on ONE of the CW maps - Taiga. Because during entire event, i managed to drop ~30 times, and the only drop that was on Taiga was vs a competent opponent with moderate team. Meh. When the score screen came up today i just gave up. Not gonna dump 20h for a chance to drop on correct map.

i just managed to scrape by and get a drop in forge for t1. it was against a pug team with a little advantage on our side. i pretty much went full force with my first mech, died stupid and spent the rest of the game running around in a cored (front and back) gargoyle trying not to die, of course by that time it devolved into spawn camping and my biggest threat was getting tked by a troll/idiot. i was in a bad situation with a tbolt and managed to stay alive by keeping my side pointed at the enemy while the rest of the team carved him up. i think i ended the match with 266 points.

I was in the same boat. Dropped 8 times in CW and got Grim Portico 5 times out of the 8 drops. I dropped out after that. So for me it was not worth the time and effort but I applaud the ones that could make it through this event.

Just to be clear. The events are voluntary and not manditory and they are for free giveaways. There really shouldn't be any QQ for not finishing the events. But the RND placed on the map rotation was really not needed here. What it came down to was some players in the community could do the event in say 4 hours while other people needed to play 8, 10 ,or 12 hours waiting the one map they needed to drop for them. Let the challenges come down to the players and their skill and not some form of RND in the game.

Yep, of course. And I always have fun with stompy robotz....

But dropping in the same map all day long, it's very boring.

Beside I'm not qquing about the event, or the match score (that weren't so high).

It's the map rotation that doesn't work. I got stuck in the same map, me and a lot of people in my friend list.

The key was learning to "read" the system, which I learned almost too late.

Look for a planet with a full enemy 12-man forming a match (white sliver on a planet where they have 12-23 and your side has 11 or less), then you can see what map they're queing up on.

It's obviously hard half the time since sometimes your side is creating the match with more ppl on the planet. There's also more of a chance they're organized, but it's better than nothing. I had nothing in Tiaga & Vitirc til I used the method above.

I know how you feel. I was two maps away. Forest Colony I only got once and I didn't pull my score on that one is because my team was too bloody good and by the time my slow poke Mauler got around to fighting the enemies were mostly steamrolled. So yeah, your team being too good can be a bad thing sometimes :P

Then there was the map that never was, Canyon Network. 0 chances to even make the attempt. But I got at least 300 points on HPG, Mining Collective, and/or Caustic Valley multiple times, so why not replace my bad scores with all those good ones? Why do I have to be cheated because RNG was being an ******? Such a terribad idea to hinge an event on RNG.
