I'll repost this pic, it covers ~2 dozen matches over a 3 day period. I inserted the updated/improved bar below the original bar:

My guess is it moves up/down based on how well you did. If it shows it went up & you did horrible, it probably was only a tiny increase. If you have the top score & a win, it probably goes up quite a bit more.

Mine's gone from just to the right of the arrows to almost past the end of "minimize" and I've been leveling a lot of bleh mechs. System is just a grind.

t3 and happy at my current tier, its like the jack of all trades tier with good wins bad losses. fast games, slow sniping games, stupid games, intelligent games, die first, die last, 200dmg, 800 dmg, u get it all in tier 3 :)

I'd prefer to go up at least one more tier ( and I'm getting there eventually it seems ) so that when someone calls a tactic and half the team has agreed to said tactic there won't be a few stubbornly doing their own thing and costing everyone else the match.

I wouldn't count on that. If I continue to move up, I will probably always be "that guy". I'm sure I'm not alone.

As long as you're carrying your weight and working with the team you're never "that guy".

Different people find fun in different ways. Some people like rock climbing, some people like sitting down & reading a book. Some people like playing iconic mechs, some people like grinding iconic mechs into the ground as efficiently as possible.

Meaning meta = fun for some people.

Even so, I don't play ultimate meta that much. My most common mechs in the last 3 months have been a gauss+4xERML Hellbringer and a 5xMPL Stromcrow (read: no OP quirks). I have maybe 10 matches in a 5SS in that time, 1/2 of them in private matches (and all those I was ASKED to switch into it). When I play, I focus on ONE thing: challenging myself to do better. When I see I've done well, or see how I can do better next time, I have fun. Funny how that improves my PSR...

So please, stop taking shots at tier 1 players & try to enjoy the game instead.
(unless being salty is YOUR meta...)

Sorry what's not ultimate meta on the HBR? And that SCR?

The fact that you don't have 6 ML? or 6 MPL?

I played pretty badly last night. If my stats are to be believed, I still went 19-9. I doubt anyone thought I was carrying my weight though.

- created MAL brawlers, and i learned how to do with them 700-1300 damage.
- mastered Protector and Ilya Minomet.
- learned how to use LBX
- leading team (not working all the time, cause PUGs.)
- know better maps, and sweep spots
- not attacking lights with assaults, waste of time and ammo, concetrating on enemy assaults + heavy mostly
- optimalize my builds, regroup fire into 2, max 3 groups.
and here we are. Oct,15 I was T5, now (10 days later) T3.

still not playing group queue. all from SOLO.

True props. That's a lot of grinding! Tell us what changed when you move in to t2.

There will always be people out of place, as long as they are few it's fine and even needed if they know what they are doing. I found that any plan is better than none and by that i mean call anything in chat or voip and everyone will go there. No mather how bad or stupid it might seem, people need to do different things. sometimes you just need a disco going forward, I had half a team follow a disco last week, we all joined with them, it was a terrible place to be except we still won and it was fun lol.

Was this using an alt (new account)?

It’s almost impossible to change tiers if you have thousands of drops

We could sit here and do the math

From September 22nd (implementation of PSR) to October 25th, that's at least 33 days. Grats nevertheless. See what I mean by "just cause one had started low, he doesn't have to stay low?"
Tryharding brings results, and results bring bragging rights.

Part of your rapid rise can be attributed to your low amount of matches for the PSR to take account (you joined the forums only this May), thus each match will move the bar more than those who played the game since January of this year.

im not using alt accounts.
Mine was created 11/5 (ye tukaayid, but i wasnt aware of it in that day).
When PSR was announced, i discover im sitting at 25% of T5 bar. (my initial PSR screen is here at PAGE 6).
It cost me around 500-600 matches from T5 into T4. it was sometimes pain.
On the other hand, progress through T4 was MUCH flawless. I assume i played 200-300 matches only in T4.
