Honestly for a head mounted energy HP that you can only fit single slot energy weapons in and one less ballistic and Energy HP then the 5M variant, I don't see the value of this hero. Yes there's the 30% c-bill boost and the camo...blah blah blah. Not to mention the smaller engine cap.

This hero doesn't seem as unique as it should be, barring any quirks that PGI implements. Yes, some hero mechs aren't that unique from their other variants, but most are. Misery, Oxide, etc...

I think it would be good ti give the BH2 an AMS on each arm for a total of three, or some other feature to make it more worth-wile for my $20 extra.

Think of it this way -

A 75T hero, let's take the Protector, is 5625 MC.
To get that you'd need to buy the $30 package.

So the Marauder hero is already almost a 50% discount if you get it now. If you wait for when it's released, you'd be paying almost double.

Worth it now?

the right question should be is the hero for 15$ better thanthe collectors edition for 20$ which also has a cbill bonus mech in it and some more goodies.

Maybe you formulated it strangely, but the BH has actually 2 more E hardpoints than the 5M (one of which is in the head, the other in the RA), and one ballistic hardpoint less. Not sure why you are comparing it to the 5M, though, because the 5M doesn't have the hero bonus, obviously. The 3R(S) has, but the two mechs are quite different in hardpoints, and the 3R doesn't have jumpjets either (but the possibility of fitting a bigger engine).

Also, it's only $15 extra.

I think I'll wait until it goes on one of the 50% off hero sales next spring...
