I have no business being in tier 2.

I'm really struggling not to be an anchor around my teams neck, yet it still looks like I'll make tier 1 soon and then I might as well stop playing altogether.

Does anybody feel the same way? :(

well scoring 300 in tier 2 and tier 4 are two different things

i'm tier 3 right now and i personally suppose i was placed in the tier 4 (if not 5) after the psr introduction because during one of those events when we played 50 games i had 380 average (!) score over those 50 games and like emptied my ammo every few games... it's not so easy now but i still can pull 300 or 400 from time to time

It does raise an interesting a question. How fast can you drop in PSR if you are losing that bad? Does it mean that you get stuck in higher tier hell forever?

The more efficient you are, the less dmg (and matchscore) you need to end the match.

gg clothes, pgi :)

edit: with my friends, we decided to push hard since the beginning and we had 10 matches winning in 3-4 minutes. Nobody reached 300 matchscore not even once :D

T2 and getting 300 points easily with my Wubmaster-3S. Embrace the meta and use consumables. At least try the Coolshot 6.

Don't you want to improve yourself? I am loving the extra difficulty cause I am improving more noticeably than pre-PSR. I actually pay attention to the mini-map more often now.

guys plz stop whining. Last tournament was crap due to rng. this one isnt.

300 isnt that hard to get either. just dont try to hard. see it as a small reward for having a better than avarage match.
got over 500 in a crappy build catapult while i didnt know this tournament was even on.

just play your normal game.
be glad we now get a c-bill income that comes close to open beta c-bill rate

if you cant handle the tournaments just dont check that forum section. just play normaly and get suprised when you get something extra.

pgi isnt forcing everybody to do all the matches +300.
see it as them giving you a bonus when you have a nice match

People are thinking all wrong about this.
You dont need to earn all of the 4 million. that is the max
if you plan to get the full 4 million you will get frusterated.
just dont. just play. be happy when you get a small bonus.

That's the point: I#m still inching closer to tier 1! Doing 250 dmg in a win (in a Timby or Hellbringer nor less....) and then doing about 150 - 200 dmg in a loss still seems to let you gain rank overall.

Get gud i guess. Please don't yell at me for sucking, I'm getting old or something.

Jesus Christ, is everything considered 'Whining these days?

Did I demand to lower the matchscore you need to qualify?

I basicly said i suck, so please get lost.

well im grumpy atm. sorry i guess

im just tired of seeing all the whine treads about tournaments.
last one was crap due to rng. but on this one they are just giving away c-bills for free when you play a nice match.

and if you suck you will most likely improve or drop down a tier over time

It's a lot easier in 70+ ton meta mechs. A lot of people know this, and it's evident in team compositions, this weekend and last.

Yeah, it's not much fun. I suggest either taking a few days' break, or running troll builds.

Depends on the pilot...easier for me in the 35-45 ton range.

@Rick: maybe it was anomalous but you played well in a couple games I saw you in yesterday. :/

Maybe there's another Rick Sanchez and I accidently got his PSR, would explain a lot... ! ;)

Honestly Terciel, a Matchscore of over 300 is a 1 in 25 game for me - not saying you can't have good games with a lower score.

All I have to say is Lights need some love to help their Match Score. I played my raven 3l all last night, coordinated like a mofo on Voice, only lost around 2 or 3 matches and my PSR kept going up but I would only get around 200 match scores. I played both my "old school ride" and the LL meta ride.

I feel Ricks issue and I'm in T3........

It seems to me that you're probably too efficient at killing.

To get high score, you got to tear off limbs, and do a lot of 'wasted damage' instead of killing fast.

Its totally illogical, I know.

I never really bothered with the event last weekend but in some matches in my mediums and lights I played pretty good and still didn't break the 300 score mark.
Broke out my unmastered Dire last night and low and behold the 3 games I played well over the 300 points mark.
Free money is always welcome and I'm glad they got rid of the stupid map requirement but these score events are skewed toward damage dealers (assaults and heavies). Not complaining,it's just a matter of fact.
Maybe some form of multiplier for using lights/mediums would be an idea.

I've been on the losing side more times than I can count these past 2 days. I am grinding my BK's though (which went from pleasant to a F**king nightmare (seriously, a Catapult's CT is a fortress compared to this thing).

I think I need to bust out more serious hardware and shelve the BKs for this weekend (not like they won't be shelved once elited anyway).

You need to turn your mouse sensitivity down to earn more points. Can't be killin fools fast or clean.

Sadly, 300 score doesn't necessarily equate to playing well. IIRC, you were in a River City match we won on caps? You made a couple strategic comments, stayed patient and we won. My score was only 271, but we played it well. <shrug>
