That much is obvious.

Not to everyone, apparently.

The crazy part about people playing MWO with no concept of strategy is that some of the best matches are the ones where both teams are total morons.

MW:O truth of the year for me. Well said.

@OP: I agree with some of the advice you give. Not with the long/short range thing though. People should play whatever loadout they like. This for me is the difference between tryharding and playing a game.

Never heard of OP until this thread and then saw him in a drop shortly thereafter... B)

We were both in BNC-3Ms also, which was nice.

Almost every game the strat is 'hold W and engage'. There is almost no recognition of supporting team-mates as everyone wants to get in as fast as possible. Virtually nobody uses cover, or tries to take good positions. I'm actually convinced now that almost everyone here is playing without a thought in their heads, maybe you should try utilising the brain that billions of years of our ancestors died to evolve for us.

Here are some tips;
- Don't rush until you know where the enemy is coming from.
- Bunch up early-game so nobody gets picked off.
- Bring longer ranged mechs so you're not forced to charge to be halfway useful. Brawlers are for dedicated brawl teams, not pugging where you cannot guarantee that range or support from your team-mates. If half the team charges over the hill to engage the enemy when the other half is sitting back in a firing line, you just lost the game. Congratulations.
- Once you know where the enemy is coming from, move into a firing line to defend against their charge, firing line beats rush almost every time.
- Turn and face an enemy charging into your flank, don't rush into the rest of the team and ignore them. They will not go away, you're just hoping that you can kill the enemies before they can kill your backlines. This is a terrible game plan, revolving around hoping that your team has higher skill than the enemies. Use your heads and think about what you're doing.
- SUPPORT THE ASSAULTS. An assault lost for 200 damage is almost always the teams fault.

This is purportedly the 'thinking mans shooter'. Please, act like you've got some sort of thoughts in those heads of yours.

Waiting for the flames.

Welcome to Dat Pug Life. Carry on, son. Carry on.

Everything the OP said I have seen PUG teams both do and not do. The reason? It's PUGville. You get all sorts and all differing levels of performance and consistency.

As a veteran player the OP should know this. My advice, either he stick to team play/comp play, or learn to chill out and roll with the PUGs because a little whine thread isn't going to change the behavior of the PUG.

Puglandia + serious play/expectations = rising medial costs on psychiatry.

Either ride the Chaos or Group drop. PGI needs a disclaimer on this.

Oh wow, I thought the article title was "Comp MWO is a Cesspool of Idiocy" to which I heartily agree. This BS rant by an elitist ******* with too much time on his hands, however, is simply proof that what I originally thought I read is very true.

Reading and analyzing each post by the OP leads me to the following:

This is what happens when we give a mid-twenties failure, who just finally experienced some (any) sort of success, a mouthpiece.

Piss and wind...that's literally all his poor, undereducated, and most likely lonely, life can muster out of him.

The best thing about it is that when he has to leave his MWO bastion, he has to go back to what he is....a very angry...nothing.

He literally has nothing else.

I'll pity him, and move on.

is this supposed to be hannibal? i am not sure if this is accurate; i was under the impression he looked like north africans - like algerians or moroccans

i know some revisionists are pushing hard for him to be part of black studies etc -
but that's all fairly new and based on what? this is a statue of the man from antiquity and his brother basdrugal - from their own coins... this is a painting from a little bit after i believe - the straight or aquilean nose kinda give it away

sorry but i absolutely reject revisionist history

i am sure you can make your case for black rolemodels without resorting to fabrication - if that's what you wanted to do

Hannibal was Punic, which means he was Phoenician, which means he was Semitic, so he'd probably look more like a Jew or an Arab than an African of any sort. In much the same way Cleopatra would look like a Greek (or even some more northerly European breed, since the Macedonians were mixed - part Greek and part northern barbarian) rather than an Egyptian or Nubian (as the modern fashion likes to portray her).

Competitive Matchmaking would help with OP's issues so much. (Frankly it'd be nice to have that in the game anyways)

LOL come on fellas leave the OP alone..we all have a bull**** ometer that gets full and need to exsplode somewhere..forums is better than barfights....well for some ppl..i like bar fights..
This game does have tactics..and strats to it..but you'll allmost never see them in pug matches..How ever this game is alot like WOT as far as pug matches...some times you get a decent team that likes teamwork...most the time u get players that can only derpty derp across the field...
Some ppl are really laid back and some of us are very competative and give it 100% to win every match.
Bottem line we all need to vent frustration from time to time..
NOW every-1 get ina pug match..enjoy the derpty derp....rinse and repeat untill insane =)

But the OP explodes in nearly every match as it stands...he needs no quarter, here.

Is it bad that the first thing that popped into my head after reading that was, "LEAVE BRITTANY ALONE!"?
