hey everyone, sorry to ask this but i keep reading about clans and clan invasion... what exactly is the clan invasion? and like i read about choosing sides and switching.. can anyone just explain this to me? thanks

The Clan invasion is refering to another faction that left the Inner Sphere some 300 years prior to when this game takes place. The developers have stated that this game takes place some time before these clans come back to "straighten out" the Inner Sphere. The Clan invasion surprised and overran many planets and the 'Mechs they use are much better armed, armored and control heat better.

You got a whole *lot* of reading to do. There is a wealth of information and background to who and what the clans are. Just remember though, in the end, they lost to a telephone company.

Clan Invasion begins August, 3049 So it begins in 1 months time =)

i dont think they are starting at the clan invasion. they would have to do a loooooooot of content in the next 3 weeks to have that, considering they still need 6 inner sphere mechs.


it will be 1 day in RL = 1 day in the battletech universe, but I havent read anywhere that it would be august 2012 = august 3049

what if they secretly have tons of clan tech and mechs done and are just now starting on IS to bamboozle us.

There's still a year to their arrival on the scene because MWO is set in 3049,precisely in this year clans are spreading panic only in the peripheral zone,and only in the near future they will enter in IS's domains.This link can be very helpful for you....it lists the various areas attacked by the clans and the date on when this happens http://www.sarna.net...i/Clan_Invasion .Topic closed.
