So, that TBR was killed. Watched it crumble and fall (and got the assist at least). Notice the empty dorito? Yep. Still targetable after death. Target it, and its info would show DEEP red CT, then disappear, then reappear. Weird.

So, anyone else ever seen that? This was at least two patches ago.

Yep, I've even seen a dead mech's AMS still firing while it lay there a crumpled hot mess.

Yeah I had two or three matches in a row where this happened to me last week I think it was.

I found if I shot its CT it would finally "die"

I've died a few times like this and have still been able to fire my weapons from my spreadeagled position on the ground.

Only once were my weapons pointing upwards - and I spent the rest of the match frantically trying to convince ANYONE to pose with my corpse so I could... test a theory.

I finally got it on video lol - sidebar - someone was talking about watching porn in the audio, just a heads up. I'm checking out the sweet bug I encountered... they're talking about watching porn. :shrug:


In retrospect, I wonder what would have happened if I'd overheated... I mean... I'm already dead, right?

Yep. It happens a lot with the timbers and ebons. I haven't seen it lately as they usually fall to the side for me instead of back like that.

Yeah, I saw a Jager dead firing its AMS in the water on FC, and yes, I was firing at it...I eventually stopped when I r ealized the game was just ***** up.

i've gotten this several times

i have seen this
i have also been on the other side of it
it happens when you die but fail to go to spectator, your spectator camera is stuck to your corpse
you can some times shoot your weapons, not sure if they work as you cannot aim
your ams still work... or at least makes the noise and draws the projectile
and it explodes your torso if you try to target anyone (press R) and then you go back to spectate

its kind of cool, would be nice to see a mode or an option where you stay the pilot trapped in your cockpit after the mechs destruction ... assuming your alive, would be very atmospheric to fall to the ground from the cockpits pov
