[Seal Farmer]

Marauder has always been my favourite battletech mech and people say you can now buy it.
so i looked in the Store and cannot find the Marauder for sale.
i have saved enough cbills to buy it i am sure so i dont think thats why i cant buy and also i have larger assault mechs i can buy visible. i really want the Marauder mech so where is it, please help me, i really, really want it. thx

There is no third option, unless someone wants to preorder it for you.

Note that even if you do preorder it, you will not receive it immediately. It is a PRE-order, the items ship /will be credited to your account later this year. That`s why nobody currently runs around in one.

And a few weeks after the preorders ship, it will be available for c-bills.

I don't believe that C-bill release is likely to be that quick, nor guaranteed at all. Urbanmech is still not available for C-bills, and I think the Marauder will follow this model.

Well, tbh, I didn`t know the urbie still wasn`t available, that surprises me a little bit, but I also don`t see it as all too critical becasue it`s kind of a mech that caters to a specific niche of followers....

The Marauder on the other hand is one of if not THE most iconic Mech in the BT franchise, and also has the potential to "leech off" a few Macross dudes, same with the Warhammer... not having those available to the general public could heavily (and not positively) impact how well the game is received when released on Steam....

The Urbi was a special case sense it was the community that got PGI to make the mech. PGI had no intention of making the Urbi but sense people wanted it so much they said "Well, put your money where your mouth is and if we reach a set amount then we will make it." And that boys and girls is how the MWO Urbi was born and why you can only get it currently for real money.
However, PGI did say that they were going to make the Urbi available for MC but still not C-bills.

Don't fly off the handle when people are joking with you (you know, things like the smiley face kind of hinting at that). It's ok though, In the future I'll try and keep in mind you are a bit sensitive.

Oh yea, forum topic...

The Marauder has to be available for C-Bills eventually. I think the Urbanmech is a very specific cicumstance, and I would not expect that type of pay model to happen again. The only problem is, with new mechs, it will probably be pre-order, and then MC only for quite some time (months) .

It's going to be a cool mech, I'm just crossing my fingers that it translates to MWO well.

He isn't wrong though. If it wasn't the case this time, it more often is other times and I agree that people are getting more upset about being “wrong”. The types of girls and guys we get at my work place over the summer, you can hardly train them because they can't handle criticism or being corrected. Early 20’s…

Fact is, the website doesn't make it easy to find the normal store once something is no longer featured prominently on the main page.


It's easy to find the Gift Store on the right side of the main page, and through that you can indirectly get to the normal Store with the links at the top of the Gift store.

the urbie is a very special case.

It wass made because a bunch of people asked for it so much they basicly challenged the group of guys to buying it. And they did, thus PGI implemented it.

Here, the Maraudeur is Iconic and is made by PGI for the people, not because some guys asked for it.

(I'm one of the guys who wanted the urbanmech.)

The Urban Mech was a special case and is absolutely NOT following the model because PGI didn't make it like previous mechs or packages. We the players petition and gave money BEFORE the mech even went into production. PGI choose not to make it adhere to the model because they probably wanted to make a few more bucks off it before it went out for free.

Urban mech was NOT like the Marauder, Marauder is Unseen redesign not a fan/player request (per say). PGi knew the money was there to be made before the mech even got a redesign.


Also Urbanmech just went up for MC this week, which means next week or soon it will be for Cbills....

Its best to speak on this only when you know the true story, we have no idea what model the marauder will follow so lets not spread BS.

Makes me Sad, im not in circumstance to pay for Marauder at moment as not working.
