Name the time and place and I will personally be there and I am sure I can bring at least an 8 man drop.

Howdy.
I'd love to 8v8 with you guys. How about Thursday the 8th of October at 9pm EST?

Mech the Dale,
Sir,
I was talking about a CW drop sir, since the 1st Hussars are a loyalist unit mainly doing CW drops and have claimed 5 worlds for the FRR. I concern myself more with CW drops and have no idea about 8v8 drops. The idea for CW is to expand and drive the clanners back. Fighting between ourselves does nothing more then drive wedges between units. CW forges those units into a sharper sword.
I do not need bragging rights for Battletech, I have plenty of FASA plaques and even a couple of trophies from FASA sanctioned events to show my abilities there. The only trophies now are seeing the FRR worlds back in our hands.

If the only form of combat that ISEN does is against their own brethen. I will see what can be done though you may need more then an 8 man.

Interesting.
You are aware that when you destroy enemy mechs in this game you're not actually harming the person piloting it? That in private matches when you shoot.. and destroy other players.. that it does nothing to harm the FRR?

The units in MWO that ISEN have the best relationship with are ones they scrimmage with on a regular basis. We have found that playing teams in that sort of manner often leads to respect and camaraderie. Something I am sure many other teams experience in MWO and most other sports and competitions (for whatever reason chess jumped to my mind).

I am sorry you found my olive branch so insulting, although I do find it quite perplexing.

Greetings Mech The Dane,
Sir as one of the Drop Commanders for the 1st Hussars, I would like to invite you or any from ISEN to drop with the 1st Hussars. You, Dane, can Drop command or come along and offer an after battle report. I offer this since I have never seen more then a single ISEN in any CW drop I have been in and they were formerly with the 1st.

But, I thought about the other part of your message. And that should be doable. I can gather up a few people to do a CW drop with you. Probably this Sunday evening around 9PM est.

Mech the Dane,
Sir I had no intention to appear insulting my apologies for seeming so.
I will be happy to have you and ISEN along on Sunday. The 1st will supply the mead if ISEN brings the roast boar. We will kick the clanners hard and make them sqeal.

Military exercises (scrimmages) is required to keep any military force healthy.

It would benefit all members of the FRR to prepare for battle and aid with testing new strategies.

I think a full 12 v. 12 private match has merit. I think we should drop as our core units the first couple matches so we have the opportunity to observe tactics, movement patterns etc., and report gaps to the other. I also think it would be great to follow-up those matches with some mixed matches (mixing units) to help us get used to the idea that we are all friends here having fun.

The idea to get ISEN involved in CW is a great one, and I admit I haven't been playing long at all (since the end of July) but I rarely see ISEN in the mix for CW. It would be great to get you guys involved! The more, the merrier.

Hey Creston,

I've dropped with you a few times, and often enough with the 2323 in CW. Always a good time!

Incidentally, I was on last night and we were a few short of 12 for an attack team... I thought it would be a good time to knock on ISEN's door and get the ball rolling on being more of an 'FRR team', but the rooms were all locked within the ISEN node.

A small recommendation: Removing the locks will foster a more open community :)

Cheers all

The rooms are locked because the Isengrim do a good portion of events and comp style drops, so we don't get interrupted during something semi-serious. (An NBT drop, a scrimmage, practice or other in house shenangans;) ) don't take it as a locked door to keep ourselves separated, more of a "do not disturb" sign.

We could have open rooms for when we aren't doing anything particularly important and then have dedicated DND rooms, but frankly this was just sort of a first pass on our setup. Until all the dust settles it will probably stay like it is for simplicity. Until then you should still be able jump into our guest channel or to send messages to members in locked rooms to "knock on the door" so to speak. Just don't be offended if they are busy.

I will talk with Mech the Dane to request more channels for drop ins.
We were having issues with people dropping in and saturating comms in organized fights.
Currently members of the hub can drop in on Isenhall while guests can only drop in outlander hall and CW coordination.

Other channels are limited to Isen only.

Edit: Non organized channels are now open to all; Isenhall, Outlander Hall, CW Coordination, Looking for drop, and solo grind.

If you find us not in these channels, we are already in an organized drop or scrimmage. Message a thegn or the Jarl for any requests but be advised the Jarl might be busy.

I think each unit should have all rights in designing their respective sections in the hub as far as privacy and structure goes so I can fully understand any structure ISEN, 1STH, MJ12, 2323, etc. decide to do per unit. That's how it is and has been and I think most prefer it that way.

I can also see that sometimes units channels may unintentionally dissuade social interaction between units if we're not familiar with each other. We just need to lower that barrier to promote healthy mingling while still respecting when people aren't really in a mode where they want to socialize outside of their unit or current group.

Specifically for 2323 we denote our channels for the type of game play we're partaking in and that helps to signal to our members and other pilots just the sort of fun you'd be joining if you come over. Don't take this as a recommendation that others should do the same as I'm a big proponent of letting units decide their own structure and what works for them.

So really we just need a cocktail hour for the whole hub ;)

Personally I'm digging the recent uptick in hub activity. Anything that keep that going or grow it even further I'm excited about!

Excellent! Thanks for the quick feedback. And no worries, no offense was taken, just thought I'd highlight that I wasn't able to go anywhere and invite you all to our CW group. And I can appreciate the need for silent battle coms.

Cheers all

Might it be possible to make the locked Isen channels a different colour so people know which are locked and which aren't?
