According to the Forum Rules and Posting Etiquette, this should be ok, my apologies if it isn't. I would have replied in-topic if it was still possible.

I have been a member of the Something Awful community for about six months (not long, but not a few days as otherwise implied). The posts I that those guys were referring to started with asking about some backstory as I missed ~60 pages of the thread. It also included asking what I needed to do to find an open group to join up with. Their response was attempting to get me banned. My initial involvement was solely for a console game, and that particular community is full of quite a few enjoyable personalities. I realize this isn't about MWO, but given the degree of slander and defamation that I faced in that closed thread, I feel that this post is warranted. I hope that this community has enough people looking to create an inclusive, enjoyable environment to give this installment of the Mechwarrior franchise a long, healthy lifespan.

I am sorry if you had to weather misdirected and ill-conceived animosity. I assure you that most of the MWO community is friendly and accepting.
For what it is worth, I do not care where you came from or the reputation someone has from other games. And I certainly do not base my opinion off of association. Every person should be afforded the right and opportunity to show their merits and character. All that matters is how people behave within the MWO community moving forward- that will determine their reputation as far as I am concerned.

You came in and asked some really silly questions and said "hurr i dun wanna read da forums" when all your questions were answered on page 1 of the thread in the first few posts.

Our great homeland has a very strong filter that removes the weak and shiposters. You were caught by this filter by your own actions. Nice intro post in FYAD, broseph.
