One measly pixel movement on a PSR change whether I had an 800 dmg/3 kill game in an Ebon or a 17 damage "got goosed by a Streak Crow" match in my KFX.

Maybe it was better not knowing my Tier because now its like a nagging itch that is difficult to scratch.

Anyone else feeling this?

(Im Tier 3 by the way)

I stopped caring when I realized it is more of an XP bar than anything based on how well you actually do. It is going to go up and down some but if you win more than you lose it will move up overall.

It's an EXP system... Not a measure of how good you are.

It's more a measurement of how good you should be.

Maybe it's better that less weight is put on a quantifiable value of the player by PGI, who, let's face it, I don't want trying to rate me the one they do a game-score. The variables required to determine a "good player" vs an "experienced player" is huge, and filled with nuance that I don't trust them to do accurately anyways.

One could argue that the more experienced you are, the more skillful you become (experience = skill). It's also need to be considered along that lines that getting a meningful XP requires you to win (mostly).

Yeah, but Paul also said it takes like 6500 games to move into T1. I've played more than that since I started MWO, I just have not played as much since January of this year as I used to. At my current rate I will be T2 in a month or so and T1 early next year since I just don't play as much.

I don't think many of you have really thought this thing through and it's time you all had your eyes OPENED.

Are you aware that PSR is a FIXED resource?

Yes, FIXED. There is only so much PSR available in our world. It's a FINITE resource. That means if someone gains PSR, then someone has to lose it.

That someone is ME. So stop it.

Seriously guys, you should just play the game and play your best and just stop worrying about it.

I dunno why people are so wrapped around an axle over all this tier stuff... I play to blow crap up. If I blow lots of crap up, I'm even happier!

Just... play.

It feels like a permanent event with all these tryhards.

I don't call it fun.

I don't care about mines but some are effectively intentionally sinking tiers. Frankly i am getting old from this gauss/lasers/whatever boating. Usually the same players.

Summary of my last match:
Gauss x2 Timby (Or meds and gauss)
Gauss x2 ER PPC DW
Think i saw a EXE with gauss and lasers.
Stormcrow with lasers
ACH with smpls i believe
Enforcer with meds and gauss

Makes my hair turns grey.

If you're worried about your PSR, then just wait until they start mandating a certain amount of headlight fluid per Mech. Also, I can't imagine how people will freak out when they post our synergy threshold reticulators.

;-)

P.S. don' sweat the pixels, you should worry more about the reticules and paper dolls.
