I'm looking for suggestions on how to build a 3050 and earlier solo campaign for myself to play through just for the hell of it. I'd like suggestions for Lances and Stars that suit the Alpha Strike Lance/Star Requirements, Pursuit, Recon, Command, Battle, Fire Support et cetera, for a personal campaign I'm going to run through.

I don't want to have any bias here, so I'd be playing both sides. Both sides, with an equally competent commander and very few random variables to decide each engagement, to see whether inner sphere or clan mechs will reign supreme. Not just this, however. I plan on also testing IS against IS and Clan against Clan, to see which stars/lances are the most well balanced and easy to use.

I'd love to hear various lances and stars, and if anyone cares, I'll even post updates saying who's still alive and who isn't/what worked and what didn't. I realize this post is likely to fall flat on it's face, but hey, worth a shot! I'll give examples in the next post below. (For bonus points, tell me which Clan/House/etc your unit is associated with. Mercs can assist either side.)

Well, what I'm asking for is rather simple and anyone could do it using the Alpha strike rules and companion, as well as the Master Unit List for the game. I could try over there as well I suppose.
