[Karnak]

A year or so ago I had MWO running on my Win8.1 machine. After a hiatus of some time I tried to play again, but while patching I received the following error:

"There was an error while downloading, possibly due to a connection timeout. Would you like to retry?"

Clicking Retry does nothing.

I have since uninstalled the game, received the same error upon attempting a reinstall. I then scrubbed my registry using regedit for any reference to MWO I could find using searches for "MWO", "mechwarrior" and "Pirahna". The same error still occurs.

Is there any solution to this, or is the $105 I spent on this game just....gone? I have searched on the forums and using google and there seems to be no solution suggested.
