We could not find a match at eastern prime time 7pm.
Increase the cbill earnings for cw until this game mode is improved.

That's pretty much the definition of "not being worth it". Nice.
Haven't played CW in months. It's just not fun/not enough fun to tolerate all the BS.

I would play it cuz it's a new spin to the game.. allowing you to drop with 4 mechs... different maps than public.. etc etc.. just the cbills earnings aren't enough to make the time spent and the rest of the bs worth it.

It's only compounded that you're dicked as a loyalist for incentives, which is why many "loyalist" groups go on "vacation" to farm elsewhere before coming back consistently. There's a reason merc units inflate then overinflate; it's the most bang for your buck and lets you use -all- of your mechs unlike going loyalist.
I'm level 15 in the FRR and I look at the level scale and just go "you've got to be ******* kidding me... do I -really- want to grind out that many more matches to go up one more ranking, let alone more than one?"
The answer is no. I really don't, but I enjoy playing with the folks I drop with consistently even though it's more often mixed unit cat-herding/playstyle clashes than something reliable. There's 0 incentive to go loyalist as someone new to CW; really it's only viable after you've farmed your easy mech bays, then pick one assuming you don't get bored along the way trying to get towards level 20 at a snails pace.
Toss in stagnant moba-style maps (really, really bad idea there; I assume there was some notion that it'd help a competitive popularity boost given Moba game supremacy but... not in a FPS for ***** sakes!), and "pugs defend; organized drops attack" given how difficult it is for small groups or solos to even get a match with queue prioritization of 12 mans, and it just turns into one stale farm.
The game alienates folks not able to get that rolling (or willing) into mixed defense queues to just be farmed far, far too often just to be able to play it for very little reward, especially with organized groups with clean (or just more optimized) drop decks vs folks still getting rolling.
It's not remotely new player friendly without warning, and hell, even as an experienced player it's pretty unforgiving just via drop deck considerations until that rebalance hits (assuming it does what it intends, here's hoping).
Not only that... it's expensive. REALLY expensive on the c-bill purse to get your drop decks as something worth using consistently. Worse if you're a new player burning through consumables only to get match losses, and if you're not using consumables you're already getting fairly hosed in those matches.
For the amount of earnings you make grinding it, the amount you put in to have a passable drop deck, or multiple drop deck options, it is pretty nuts on both IS and Clan sides. You may as well say it has a soft paywall for new players outright.
There just isn't enough information to give folks a legitimate heads up on what to expect, tips on what to do, and why that no, fast and loose heavily undertonned drop decks and trial mechs is -not- going to float when you're pitted against competitive and semi-competitive teams, nevermind when you put in the coordination factors using VOIP or TS.
At best the skewed matchmaking seems fun right until you find you're not getting consistent pugs to go up against as a new player and that the stomps are honest-to-goodness-****-this-game stomps. I've lost track how often I've seen folks rage and just leave the game behind entirely from that, abandon CW entirely or take a long hiatus. The mode doesn't make it remotely easy to get 12 pugs to attack as it stands, so they're pretty well doomed to defend-and-be-farmed.
I'm almost willing to say that CW right now is more detrimental than beneficial compared to a basic tiered ranked match setup.
Right now as I see it, CW hinges on the addition of 4v4 scouting, PVE/vs AI bot ghost drops (mechs and ships) and some rejiggering on how matchmaking works before it's remotely viable in general, let alone enjoyable enough to keep the interest levels high enough to increase its population. It's going to continue to be a ghost town until that occurs with waning interest even among CW diehards (like myself).
The silver lining is that there -does- seem development interest in that direction with the AI tutorials and some wink wink nudge nudges, the scouting talk and a full on rejiggering of how merc contracts work and loyalist setups. The deciding factor there is going to be how much time it takes, and right now (rightfully) mech packs (because game funding folks; you can't pay your employees peanuts and with a small game population your're gonna rely on them) and soloqueue map rebuilds (very needed given the majority play that by far) have priority.
Here's hoping it doesn't take -too- long or with too small of babysteps, it'd be a pity for it to be entirely barren before it starts to gel into something worthwhile and immersive.

After the 19 May 2015 patch is was not a slow death, it was an instant death. It has never recovered and to be honest many units just stopped playing.
Nerf's and Quirks has been the nails in the coffin, ever since the insanity started and they lost control trying to appease a select few.

Tukkayid event 18000 participants ... "Hardcore" Unit event 2 month after only 9700 participants.... Ok rewards werent same but half population 2 months after it can't be only this.
PGI learn nothing about thoses both events the only thing which change in CW its " Beta 2 " nothing else... pugs left then units left not inverse.
