Actually... it can hold Gauss.

While not a gamebreaker, but the high mounted ballistic hardpoint (which holds an MG) is fairly high... so it's going to be the "IS Hellbringer" (ironically) people wanted... minus the ECM.

It's not going to be better than the Hellbringer though... but people will surely try.

Ah, yeah, I see the MG now. Per Sarna, it looks like that may be the only one with a ballistic? Still want to see details. You can put a Gauss in an Orion's ST and that doesn't really make it amazing.

I looked over the "variants" and it pretty much ends up being like this...

6D - remove 2B and 1M
6K - remove 2B
6L - remove 2B, adds 2E
6Rb - Artemis version of 6R
6Rk - uses XL engine and technically "better optimized"

The 6R is probably going to get the Battlemaster level of treatment of quirks (worse torso twist - along with the 6L).

Edit: There's too many damned variants - but the point more or less stands... reasonably high mounted Gauss is an option (it's not Hellbringer level, but close enough).

Love the 'mech. Not crazy about the funky elbows, but they'll be locked most of the time and won't factor.

I'll still buy the pack, of course. Curious if this means the Marauder was popular enough to generate the other Unseen ...

I think this is where I part ways with Pokemech, actually. I've done so much load, level, strip I'm exhausted from it. I have 7! more chassis on preorder already. <shrug> I want to be wowed by new stuff. Lacking Warhammer nostalgia, I'm not wowed here.

Well, PGI keeps spitting these mechs out like if was a gateway drug, but then you come to realize that for everything that is in this game, the lack of "feel" in terms of nostalgia (like, little to no background or history about the mechs and factions) is kinda sad really. I don't expect these things to ever be a priority, but it's like they don't try to generate that feeling outside of "buy that mech you couldn't have before!".

While MW2 had such an overkill, but even MW3+4 dabbled in it a bit... MWO doesn't pretend to do any sort of thing.

Meh, that seems to be 95% of their focus now is just new mechs new mechs new mechs. I'd love to see an update on actual content and fixing CW, there's no reason to buy all these new mechs when there's no game to enjoy for hours on end.

Warhammer is nice, but how about new game modes? Or make cw not suck? Or fix some of the bugs that this game has had for ever?

Love it! Like it better than the Marauder revamped design. Really captures the Warhammer look while still being different.

I don't like the artwork. I grew up with the "old" Warhammer. And what appealed to me enormously was that the PPCs felt like clubs. That was triggered by the piece of the barrel which is longer than the elbow. ALso that the mech looked a bit boxy, edged and rough. Something you would expect of a blunt weapon of war which is its namesake: a warhammer.

The barrels look now...I struggle for words...kind of "too smooth". So does the whole mech.
Hmm...sorry to put it that way: The MWO Warhammer looks like a metrosexual version of the oldschool rough-edged manly man Warhammer.
